Happening tomorrow on Level 5 at M Space

Over four decades of plays later, Alfred Buttigieg is celebrating "the closing of a chapter" with a book featuring all his works.

"This book collects all my plays which were present onstage between 1981 and 2023," Buttigieg said of the new publication with an introduction by Dr Marco Galea.

To celebrate the publication, the popular playwright will be hosting an event tomorrow evening at Msida's Blue Box. "There will be short interventions from all the directors of my plays - Michael Fenech, Immanuel Mifsud, Malcolm Galea, Tyrone Grima and Lee-N Abela."

Buttigieg went on to thank Joseph Mifsud from Klabb Kotba Maltin for publishing the book.

Last summer, Alfred Buttigieg had celebrated his new passion, ceramics, launching his works in an exhibition in Mqabba right up to September. Clearly, with his constant influence over the scene through multiple mediums and his son Gabriel being one of the most celebrated Maltese painters right now, art runs thick and deep in the Buttigieg family.
