It’s all about the details 🍋💙 So far, our summer has been as busy as ever. Our team hit the ground running since the start of the season with many groups making their way to Malta over the past few months...

In between organising spectacular dinners and team events, we took a moment to appreciate the little details that make all of our events extra special.

From creating a Mediterranean dream dinner with specially-sourced dinnerware and centrepieces, to planning the most fun-packed incentive activities - it’s been a great season so far. Thanks to our team, partners and clients for being a part of it!

Alpine Sterling DMC is looking to recruit a highly motivated, organised, and enthusiastic individual to join our team as Leisure Groups Executive.

Working alongside a team of experienced professionals, the chosen candidate will form a core part of the leisure department and be responsible for communicating with overseas clients and liaising with local suppliers.

This will include administrative, operational, and sales activities both within the office and externally.

Established in 1969, Alpine Sterling is a leading DMC in Malta with a vast network of international clients.

We pride ourselves on delivering tailor-made, exceptional programs with a friendly and positive attitude.

Requirements:
• Preferable 2 years of experience in a similar role or a relevant qualification in tourism and/or event management
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
• Driving license and own transport
• Fluency in English and Maltese is a must; knowledge of other languages would be considered an asset.

This position is ideal for an assertive, outgoing, and energetic person with a strong team spirit and a good sense of humour! This is a full-time position with standard office hours. Due to the nature of the travel industry, evenings and weekends also form part of our working hours when required. If you are passionate about tourism, attentive to detail, and a team player, this role could be for you!

In July 2024, 33 members of The Abbey School Concert Band are visiting Malta where they will give concerts in Valetta, Marsaxlokk and Gozo.

Friday 5 July - 2 pm - @ Muza (Valletta)
Saturday 6 July - 7.30 pm - @ Church Square (Ghajnsielem)
Sunday 7 July - 8.30 pm - @ Church Square (Marsaxlokk)

During their stay they will also discover many of Malta’s historical delights and natural beauty including the Blue Grotto, Mosta and Mdina

The Abbey School is an all-girls school based in Reading in England approximately 50km west of London.

The school’s music department is vibrant with many girls studying music academically as well as taking lessons in singing, piano, strings, woodwind and brass. Girls are encouraged to take part in ensembles such as choir, concert band and orchestra.

Young musicians from the school have previously visited Paris and the island of Jersey.

Head of Department, Helen Bilkey said ‘We are very excited to visit Malta, to share our music and to embrace Malta’s culture, history and heritage’.

Experience the Merchant Taylor's School Choir live in concert this July!

The Merchant Taylor Girls School Choir will be performing three concerts during their visit to Malta and Gozo between the 1st and the 3rd of July 2024. The MTGS Choir entertains and delights audiences with its exceptional treble performances of choral music of the finest quality.

Entrance is free, and the public is invited to attend.

Alpine Sterling DMC is looking to recruit a highly motivated and organised individual to join our team as a Reservations Agent. The chosen candidate will be responsible for carrying out reservation functions, including booking, altering and cancelling reservations, as well as sorting reservations-related issues and answering client queries.

Job Responsibilities include:

· Processing of incoming reservations;

· Controlling stop sales and entering into systems and extranets;

· Liaising with operators and hotels with regard to requests;

· Preparing transport orders and forwarding them to suppliers;

· Preparing reports for hotels and representatives.

Applicants with experience in a similar role, a friendly personality and professional behaviour are encouraged to apply. Fluency in English is essential, while knowledge of other languages would be considered an asset. Successful candidates are expected to have good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

The historical site known as 'San Pawl Milqi' (Saint Paul the welcomed or the healer) is one of the lesser-known religious and cultural landmarks in Malta. Under the guidance of Heritage Malta, the site is open to visitors by appointment only. We were grateful for their help and flexibility in a recent visit that we organised for an important religious pilgrimage in Malta, which helped us to ensure our visitors got to experience this unique site and attend mass at the chapel.

The site is traditionally claimed to be where St Paul was received by Publius, the Protos of the island, in c. A.D. 60, based on the Biblical mention of St Paul’s shipwreck in Malta.
