To celebrate our ten year anniversary in style we've finally printed some Island Rockers T-Shirts! Our timeless logo is featured at the front, and we teamed up with the mighty to create the awesome custom artwork for the back of the tees.

Both sides are beautifully screen printed and the T-Shirts are of excellent quality made from 100% organic cotton and certified Fair Wear.

📣 Following a short Summer break from our events, we are back with a very special Bass Culture dance featuring an international artist we've been following for many years, who's guaranteed to quench that post-Summer thirst for bass!

💥 Wicked and Bonny Crew was founded in 2015, based in a studio in Bolzano. Sometimes Wicked, sometimes Bonny, two words representing their own style of music, which they describe as a protest in a joyful style! We will be joined by Maggu from the Wicked and Bonny Crew who is the man behind their studio productions and live sessions and will be delivering a unique selection of dub characterised by endless delays, sirens and live effects, produced for entertaining sound system sessions and festival stages alike!

🔥To get the party vibes started nice and early, we are excited to invite newcomers Jah Pepa and Arishanti who will be making their Bass Culture debut as Combeima Rivers, warming up the day with a special selection of roots reggae and rub-a-dub with a hint of cumbia signalling their Columbian heritage 🇨🇴

🙌🏼 Bass Culture residents Yabadub, Dubdaboon and Earthrocker will be delivering their selections with a good dose of skanking riddims and earth-shaking bass lines which the fam always looks forward to, and a special b2b2b session to close off the night with a bang.

🌲We'll be back in our home within the beautiful setting of Marrakech which we've all grown to love, surrounded by trees and with plenty of space for your finest dance moves!

🔊 The dance will of course be powered by the heavyweight sound of Island Rockers Sound System delivering its amazing clarity while ensuring we feel every bass note shaking our bodies.

🎟️ We're releasing a limited run of €10 early bird online tickets (available for 10 days till 21st September at noon) followed by regular presale tickets at €15 also available online (+ booking fee) until noon on event day, or €20 at the door.

Tomorrow marks a historical day for reggae and dub culture in Malta as Island Rockers and Back to the Roots sound systems JOIN FORCES for a session celebrating the international sound system phenomenon in Malta!!

📢 The day has finally come for Malta’s very first Sound System link up! Zion invites local sound systems, Island Rockers and Back to the Roots for a back to back session in the yard, which is set to become a milestone for reggae culture in Malta.

🔊 Sound systems have played an important role throughout the history of reggae music by providing a platform for artists to bring their music to the people. Over the years this has become an international phenomenon with sound system culture spreading all over the world to the point that we even have 2 sounds on this tiny Mediterranean island!

🎶 We’ll start nice and easy in the afternoon with some roots reggae and classic dub and progress to higher energy sound system stepper style selections later in the evening. The concept is simple: one yard, two sounds, playing 30 mins each rotating throughout the day whilst showcasing the very best tunes in their collections. Re-Volt and Earthrocker will be selecting for their sounds, alongside top local selectors Salted Dread, DJ Loco, Yabadub and Dubdaboon.

🔥 To top it all off, Zion's BBQ menu will also feature some mouthwatering Jamaican Jerk specials to add to the cultural celebration, so come down early to grab some delicious food, and you can also bring your swimsuit to cool down with a quick dip at the beach. See you at the dance!

Bass Culture is back after a short winter break, and we’re kicking off this year’s party season with the highly anticipated Easter Sunday Dub event, which just like figollas and chocolate eggs has now become a yearly Easter tradition. 🐣🐇🌱🎉

🎚️ Our good friend and awesome selector Gorgobot will be on warm-up duty with an eclectic set of dub infused tunes to get the dance going, followed by Bass Culture residents Dubdaboon, Yabadub and Earthrocker delivering their killer dub and stepper selections throughout the rest of the day. 🎶

🔊 As expected, the session will be powered by the mighty Island Rockers Sound System for a truly immersive Bass Culture experience! 💥

🌳 As with last year’s Easter event, this will be an afternoon session, so come early to enjoy the warm up vibes and the beautiful surroundings of Marrakech, Gianpula in the sunshine. ☀️
