“Sacred Food” is an invitation to explore these enquiries together, to look at food through a lens of reverence and appreciation, to dive deep into our relationship with food, and take responsibility for ourselves and the environment. In an era where there is much disconnection between the food products we consume and ho

w these are produced, Sacred Food seeks to connect the dots and reconnect people to the process of food. We know from experience that when the connection is made, a natural respect and appreciation is reignited within us all. We then make different choices that are more aligned with our intuition and mother nature. We offer tailored retreat catering worldwide including vegan, vegetarian, raw vegan, macrobiotic, keto, pescatarian, flexitarian, gluten free, sugar free & allergen friendly. THIS IS UNBELIEVABLE, I KNOW…

…but it’s since I left Gozo back in November 2022 that I haven’t been eating !
The nomad life I’ve embraced since then gave me a lot, but in exchange it took away from me all the fermented foods I used to love soooo much!!

Craaaazy!!!

Although very recently I’ve witnessed someone being very sick in the gut, and seeing his whole health compromised because of that was a strong reminder of how important the brain-gut axis is for our overall system.

Mental, emotional, and physical health influence each other through that powerful axis.

So don’t underestimate what you eat, what you feel, what you repress, what you process (and what you don’t…)

BARCELONA PART 2

This man walked me through the nicest street of Barcelona, from the Sagrada Familia to the Rambla, the Arc de Triomf; the Gothic Quarter; La Barceloneta; el Mercat de la Boqueria; parks and museums. All whilst tasting amazing tapas- oh God if I love that! 🍻

Everyday at the end of the day our feet were aching, but it was always so worth it!!!

I’m actually so grateful that we booked an hotel with Spa so we could enjoy a relaxing sauna, and a barefoot walk on stones to recharge our batteries in the evening before dinner 🙏🏽❤️

This place in the pictures was called La Violeta: pay it a visit 😉
We ordered:
- olives (you might say “olives?”, and yes, Spain has the best olives in the world!)
- patata bravas
- hummus with grilled octopus and chorizo (I know, I know, but let’s try not to judge🙏🏽)
- dos solos (two espresso ☕️)

The atmosphere was lovely, not too busy, and the food was delightful 🤤

As much as we like to explore new places, we also like a good staple coffee 😜
We tried croissants, Napolitana and vegan cinnamon roll (this last one a bit too sweet for my tastebuds, because I don’t like sugar glaze).
Cappuccino with almond milk was so on point!

Why did I choose this place?
I saw the massive writing on the big wall (see pic), and I just thought “THIS IS IT!”

I’ve received this picture and message yesterday from one of the participants of our last retreat in the Netherlands, and it filled my heart with joy and gratitude ✨

No matter which direction my life will take: food will always be part of my journey 🙏🏽
