Happy new year Beautiful People 🙏🏾💚

In Māori mythology, Tane-Rore is the personification of shimmering air as it performs a haka for his mother Hine-raumati.

Tama-nui-te-ra had two wives, Hine-takurua and Hine-raumati. The child of Tama-nui-te-ra and Hine-raumati, Tane-rore is credited with the origin of dance.

The wiri trembling hand action performed during the haka dance is a physical representation of the shimmering heat referred to in many different hakas around the motu but the main haka would refer to " Te haka a Tane Rore"
It is Maori belief that on occasions when the land is so hot that the air shimmers, you can see Tane-rore perform a haka for his mother. The wiriwiri or shimmering air is reminiscent of his trembling hand actions.

Haka (singular haka, in both Māori and New Zealand English) are a variety of ceremonial dances in Māori culture. A performance art, haka are often performed by a group, with vigorous movements and stamping of the feet with rhythmically shouted accompaniment. Haka have been traditionally performed by both men and women for a variety of social functions within Māori culture. They are performed to welcome distinguished guests, or to acknowledge great achievements, occasions, or funerals.

Haka is a form of indigenous dance that encompasses multiple ceremonial purposes in Māori culture. As Nathan Matthew explains, "it is a posture dance accompanied by chanted or shouted song... One of the main characteristics of haka are that actions involving all parts of the body are used to emphasise the words.

Haka includes various forms serving different ceremonial purposes. These functions include:

Welcoming guests (haka pōwhiri),
Fare-welling and mourning the deceased (waiata tangi),
Giving advice or instructions (waiata tohutohu),
Restoring self-respect (pātere),
Intimidating adversaries (peruperu – war dance),
and transmitting social and political messages (haka taparahi, ngeri).
The peruperu is a war haka that uses weapons, while haka taparahi is performed without weapons and is the more common ceremonial form. Other forms include:

tūtū ngārahu (similar to peruperu but with sideways jumping),
whakatū waewae (like peruperu with no jumping),
manawa wera (like ngeri with no set actions, usually ceremonial and connected with death), and
kaioraora (hatred or venting haka).

Various actions are employed in haka performance, including facial contortions such as showing the whites of the eyes (pūkana), and poking out the tongue (whetero, performed by men only), and a wide variety of vigorous body actions such as slapping the hands against the body and stomping of the feet. The body serves as the instrument and vessel of delivery, with the key aspect being the words and the message they contain.

Siddhartha Gautama, most commonly referred to as the Buddha ('the awakened'), was a wandering ascetic and religious teacher who lived in South Asia during the 6th or 5th century BCE and founded Buddhism. According to Buddhist legends, he was born in Lumbini, in what is now Nepal, to royal parents of the Shakya clan, but renounced his home life to live as a wandering ascetic. Buddists believe that after leading a life of mendicancy, asceticism, and meditation, he attained nirvana at Bodh Gaya in what is now India. The Buddha then wandered through the lower Indo-Gangetic Plain, teaching and building a monastic order. Buddhist tradition holds he died in Kushinagar and reached parinirvana, final extinction.

According to Buddhist tradition, the Buddha taught a Middle Way between sensual indulgence and severe asceticism, leading to freedom from ignorance, craving, rebirth, and suffering. His core teachings are summarized in the Four Noble Truths and the Noble Eightfold Path, a training of the mind that includes ethical training and kindness toward others, and meditative practices such as sense restraint, mindfulness, dhyana (meditation proper) and the concept of dependent origination, emphasizing the impermanent and interconnected nature of all things.

About two centuries after his death, he came to be known by the title Buddha; his teachings were compiled by the Buddhist community in the Vinaya, his codes for monastic practice, and the Sutta Piṭaka, a compilation of teachings based on his discourses. These were passed down in Middle Indo-Aryan dialects through an oral tradition. Later generations composed additional texts, such as systematic treatises known as Abhidharma, biographies of the Buddha, collections of stories about his past lives known as Jataka tales, and additional discourses, i.e., the Mahayana sutras.

Buddhism spread beyond the Indian subcontinent, evolving into a variety of traditions and practices. The Buddha is recognized in other religious traditions, such as Hinduism, where he is considered an avatar of Vishnu. His legacy is not only encapsulated in religious institutions, but in the iconography and art inspired by his life and teachings, ranging from aniconic symbols to iconic depictions in various cultural styles.

Kung hei fat choy 2024 🐲💥🐉

The Year of the Wood Dragon 2024 is a very special and powerful one. The dragon is the most revered and majestic animal in Chinese culture, symbolizing strength, courage, wisdom, and good luck. The wood element adds creativity, flexibility, and growth to the dragon’s energy. This means that this year will be full of opportunities for innovation, transformation, and success.

However, it also means that this year will be full of challenges, risks, and changes. The dragon is a restless and ambitious creature that likes to take charge and make things happen. The wood element makes the dragon more adaptable and cooperative, but also more impulsive and unpredictable. This means that this year will require us to be brave, confident, and proactive, but also cautious, prudent, and collaborative.

The year of the Wood Dragon 2024 is a great year to start new projects, pursue your dreams, and express your talents. It is also a great year to travel, explore, and learn new things. However, it is not a good year to be complacent, lazy, or indecisive. It is also not a good year to be stubborn, arrogant, or reckless.

The year of the Wood Dragon 2024 will reward those who are willing to work hard, take risks, and embrace change. It will also punish those who are afraid to try new things, resist change, or ignore advice.

Kung Hei Lung Fu 2024: Wishing you dragon blessings 2024. 🐲💥🐉
