Our late legend Actor and media practitioner Hope Chisanu passed away in USA. His family, friends and the creative community in Malawi are fundraising for the required amount for his repatriation. With the objective to fundraise in contribution to the funeral budget, the Film Association of Malawi (FAMA) is set to host an exclusive film Screening and highlights of other films which our late brother Hope features. Zawadi At Work all the way from South Africa got us covered at FITI in Maputo!

State of the Ape Address" did blew off the FITI Audience at Centro Cultural Brazilian

We were nervous playing for Portuguese audience but theatre magic happened!

No language barrier as theatre is the language and SOTAA is a deeply physical performance. The response was amazing, the feedback was so uplifting. Malawi theatre well appreciated.

Thank you to all that attended, our appreciation to Accociacao D for hosting Mwezi Arts and for including Malawi in this year's FITI.

It was indeed a memorable 20th anniversary.

Congratulations once more for a successful gathering of exclusive productions from all corners of the world.

BOTHO Festival opening was thrilling with outstanding performance by Gaby Saranoufi, then Masayi Sepuru. This afternoon the whistle blowers just blew up the place presenting a special message.

State of the Ape Address takes the Zai OAT stage tonight at 18:30Hrs and we can't wait to take you for a memorable journey.

SOTAA is a brilliantly crafted theatre piece that reflects on interesting themes of one's survival, freedom and assimilation ending with the cast facilitating an amazing QnA forum with the audience.

Red Peter, an Ape who was shot, captured and scientifically tamed to mimic the human
action and speech presents his report to members of the Academy.

A State of the Ape Address!

Red Peter loses the memory of what being an Ape feels. To fit and find a way out, he
adapts to handshaking, smoking, spitting, scrolling, performing, drinking and
war as such appear to be the height of "what makes up humans".
