Foloko Sends Heartfelt Condolences to Malawi Olympic Family following the death of Republican Vice President Dr. Saulos Chilima
----
The National Olympic Committee of Zambia (NOCZ) has sent its deepest condolences to the Olympic family in Malawi following the devastating plane crash that claimed the lives of Republican Vice President Dr. Saulos Chilima and nine other individuals.

In a letter addressed to the Malawi Olympic Committee President, Hon. Jappie Mhango, NOCZ President Alfred Foloko expressed profound sadness and grief over the tragic loss.

"It is with a heavy heart that I extend my deepest condolences to you, the Malawi Olympic Committee, and the entire nation of Malawi on the tragic loss of Vice President Dr. Saulos Chilima and the nine other individuals who perished in the devastating plane crash," Foloko wrote.

The news of the terrible accident has left the Olympic community in shock, mourning the untimely passing of Dr. Chilima, a dedicated public servant and leader whose commitment to Malawi's development and progress will be remembered and honored.

On behalf of the NOCZ and the entire Zambian sports fraternity, Foloko conveyed heartfelt sympathies to the families and loved ones of all those who lost their lives in the tragic incident, acknowledging the profound loss deeply felt by the nation.

In his letter, Foloko emphasized the solidarity of the Olympic family in Zambia with their Malawian counterparts during this difficult time. "Please know that the Olympic family in Zambia stands in solidarity with our brothers and sisters in Malawi," he wrote.

Acknowledging the challenge of finding the right words in the face of such a profound tragedy, Foloko expressed hope that the memories of those who have departed will bring comfort and strength to all who knew and loved them and that their legacies will continue to inspire and shape Malawi's future.

"May the resilience of the Malawian people provide solace during this time of immense grief," Foloko concluded, offering sincere condolences on behalf of NOCZ.
