Darker crossbacks for a more rustic wedding style, where you may combine with tropical centerpieces, you know, the kind of monstera leaves, 🌴or maybe a softer wood tone to put pale tones of pink, peaches, softer more romantic style, tall candles, maybe? 🌾🌸White crossbacks, less popular but I can easily imagine using bold tones on the tables like bright pink, oranges and yellows, ideal for a summer vibrant wedding… 🌻🌺💐

What’s included and what’s added POV 🤓
Besides highlighting the beautiful photos Maricarmen Arcos took of this wedding, I think it’s helpful to share what the receptions include in most of the resorts, as in this picture, you will see the round tables with white linen, and the top table set up, what’s not included and that our beautiful couple rented additional was the charger plates plus all the extras, as chairs, lighting, flowers, etc. LOVED IT and we get to keep it forever with this beautiful photos Thank you!!! 😊

Good things take time. Patience. Resilience. 🩶
The Mulligan’s wedding story behind the scenes is coming up, after this needed and well deserved feet break!!
But first, I want to thank The Mulligan’s for being the clients and travelers of the era with their greatest attitude towards a forecast that made us doubt for a whole morning!! Dont have enough words to say how cool you are!! Thank you thank you!! 🙏🏽
Second, you are one full of the greatest loving positive energy photographer but also the best teammate I could ever have asked for in a wedding like this. Any circumstance is beaten with you on board. Greatest! Ever!
Third but not least important. And they deserve a full post and week of ! You rocked, killed it, you raised like a phoenix yesterday, you’re a great team to work with, I cannot recommend repeating this over and over again, thank you for sharing the commitment we offer our couples and clients to offer the best experience in a destination wedding. Every single person picking up, setting up, cleaning and serving at their wedding was amazing, smiling and with the best spirits! 🫡🫶🏽👏🏼🙌🏼🙏🏽 THANK YOU!!!

The beauty of planning 📑🎹📝
1st: make a guest list, divided by those who you think will definitely come and those who might not (we had to say it)
2nd: send RSVP’s and invitations
3rd: expect to receive confirmations like 6 months before specially for a destination wedding.
4th: categorize your confirmed guests in friends, family, school old friends, cousins, wedding party,… you name it.
5th: create a floor-plan, we help you create it in scale. Put table numbers
6th: “Sit” your guests in the table you want to assign them and also in the chair you want to place them if having a set menu with main course pre selections.
7th: Voilà! Hire for a lovely air view like of your wedding reception like this one 😍😎

I’ve been asked a few times how much staff comes on a wedding day:
Here are my average numbers
- Set up and Strike: about 4-5 guys who do the hard job of carrying all furniture, setting it up, hanging stuff, moving chairs, etc, sand then same but backwards, picking them up, cutting what was hung, bring everything back to the warehouse. They report me if anything was left on the tables and if there was any damage in the furniture or venue. The number of persons depend on the amount of rentals. 🏋️‍♂️ FUN FACT: these guys could carry a couple and their wedding party on their shoulders.
- Flowers: it also varies around 4-6 guys per wedding, depending on the size, amount of floral arrangements, and time needed to: clean the flower, hydrate it, cut it, prepare vases, materials, etc. Here is where I get involved to prepare the recipe and flower orders. FUN FACT: 🙏🏽 I always pray for the flower to arrive to Cancún complete, fresh, and that there was no weather or force majeure event that could prevent our flowers to get to destination. Specially Cancún where we can only rely on coconuts for a back up plan. 😅
- Lastly but not less important: planners and coordinators. In weddings up to 60 guests I can rely perfectly on a right hand coordinator to help set up the details on tables, the couple’s personal decor, and taking care of the delicate things like cake toppers, saved in a luggage during the set up. They also help to coordinate the positioning of name cards, menus, table numbers, reserved signs… these little things that seem little but oh my they do take time.
These are not set in stone cause numbers rise as the wedding gets larger in size or when the wedding is in an offsite venue 😅
In summary. We sweat glass! But it’s a team work and we love it!

POV ✨ You’re about to walk down the aisle, your wedding planner is fixing your train, the breeze is starting to blow by your vail and you feel fresh. Your feelings are a mix of emotions! You’re about to see your guests be so happy for you they can cry, and your fiancé, standing at the end of the aisle.
You planned your wedding, but you didn’t plan for al this feelings. But it all like an illusion you have to pinch yourself. The day has finally arrived. 💫

Connection… this work has been key the past months. A way to connect with their guests was by giving them these customized bracelets made by a local woman whose husband I met at a resort during a site inspection. He had a table with items made of clay for clients to paint with their style, he also had bracelets of different colors, so I asked him to make 100 for K+E’s wedding to be used as place cards. Besides this, other personal cards were given to each guest as seating chart, with an envelope and a little letter written behind a Polaroid photo 🤗 so thoughtful 🫠

Well well… where do I even start? If this journey has been already 9 years, and now I can’t even remember what I did yesterday haha!!
The first photo had a caption that I wrote exactly 9 years ago when I was as my first day of non-employed, but as an independent wedding planner

“Ayer alguien me dijo que al hablar de mi proyecto se me iluminaban los ojos y sonreía de manera diferente, no me había dado cuenta de esto, y me dio aún mas emoción este comienzo, más ganas de superarme a mi misma, aprender de cada lección que se presente sea buena o mala, agradecer y comprometerme con la gente mas cercana, amigos, proveedores y sobre todo con mis clientes, pues sin ellos nada sería real. Gracias 1-5-15... Bring it on Wedding in Riviera Maya 😍”
It’s amazing how time flies and this wedding where I was in this photo, I can’t remember every second of it, I can even remember the vendors the moment the weather, memories are very fresh when you love what to do, and when you are in the best company and just leaving the best life! I do not regret a second of this career that I chose, and which I am very grateful for.
