Started as a DJ collective in the 90s, Música Correcta (MC) has grown over the past 20+ years to include professional audio services, audiophile installations and sound technicians. All of these unique offerings share the same simple goal of providing a more customized and personal approach to music curation at art events and weddings that need personalized, out of the always-the-same-playlist, se

lections. With performers in Mexico City and Oaxaca, MC provides local services to these and surrounding states as well as fly out services to destination clients in the USA and Europe. Our founder is, as far as we know, the only professional DJ who has alternated his career playing classical music recordings -with several avantgarde music, opera and rare recordings shows on the only 24 a day classical music radio station on CDMX Opus 94- with playing dance music on the turntables all around Mexico. Our main female DJ is a busy art curator with active expositions most of the time. She organized one of the first and few long lasting ambient/experimental music parties on CDMX and currently performs music appreciation sessions with artists El Disco es Cultura. At Música Correcta, we are all working DJs, audiophiles and music collectors. Music is our passion and we want to share it with you and your guests. Whether that means digging through vinyl crates for that one song you have to have, or customizing an original sound art piece to execute on your exposition opening, our main goal here is to elevate and personalize your event so that it uniquely represents you. Despite our attention to detail, we are not elitists and we do not take ourselves too seriously. These events are supposed to be fun, inclusive experiences and we want to only enhance that feeling by playing the best music we can, with the best quality possible, so we’re not Spotify playlist reproduction DJ’s. Whether it is getting up to Penderecki, Reich, Cage or Pärt to match the contemporary setting of your pieces or setting the reception mood with funk or electronic music, we want to offer something a little different on selection and sequence that will still connect deeply, and not generically, with you and your guests.
