When the majority of the population discovers they have ADHD is it still a "disorder"? Is there data that shows behavior now diagnosed as ADHD has always been present or has their been an increase that can be linked to a cultural change?
Do we claim to have ADHD and use it as an excuse not to make an attempt to control or modify behavior? To avoid taking responsibility for our words and deeds?
Could generations of advertising propaganda have contributed? From taking a couple of minutes to read a print advertisement, to getting brainwashed with 10-15 ads play a part in reduced attention spans? 140 character "Tweets"?
Are ads shorter because attention spans are shorter, or is it more likely that attention spans are shorter because scientifically tailored short ads are so effective?
