I really cannot say enough about Yadira and how beautiful and special she made our wedding. Ryan and I both live in Texas, so we knew planning a wedding in Oaxaca would be difficult, but Yadira made it feel so much more manageable. Not only was it important to have someone in Oaxaca to meet and coordinate with vendors, but Yadira is a local and very well involved in the arts community. She knows any vendor you need, and will absolutely work to get the best price for you. When we were hiring her I remember asking why she thought we should pick her, and she told us that because she works with the local vendors so much she would be able to get us the best prices. We absolutely found this to be true.
Regardless of cost, Yadira has such an incredible eye for design. She made the tablescapes at our reception absolutely flawless. I would show her a picture or ask her if something we could add was possible and the answer was always “yes”. She knew how to make things happen.
She was also very easy to get a hold of and would be honest about responding back to us if she was busy with something else or her family. We never felt forgotten. As we got closer to our wedding date, I found that communicating on Whatsapp was very efficient for us. And she helped coordinate all our final vendor payments, and was always honest and patient with us as we were trying to get payments made from the states. I had a great experience using Wise app for the payments that could be made with a wire transfer.
It may sound dramatic, but I know our wedding wouldn’t have been what it was without Yadira. She feels like a friend that we will always be so grateful for.
