Sincere thanks to the Ministry of Commerce of China (MOFCOM), the Chinese Embassy in Malaysia; the Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI); and the The Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia (ACCCIM) for their trust in me to act as the interpreter for Prime Minister Anwar's speech at this high-level event, and to interpret it extemporaneously for the Chinese leaders to listen to.

In conjunction with the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Malaysia and China, our team of interpreters at Transmedia Asia has been very busy over the past one to two months, providing interpretation services to various visiting delegations and government agencies.

Ines Translation & Interpretation Project/怡丽思翻译机构项目：

On 7 November, China Construction Bank (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd Penang Branch held a grand opening ceremony in George Town, Penang, Malaysia. More than 200 guests from Chinese and Malaysian governments, enterprises, Chinese communities and financial institutions attended this important event.

At the ceremony, Mr Tian Guoli, Chairman of CCB, expressed his gratitude to the governments of the two countries and all sectors of the community for their long-term care and support for CCB's business, especially for its Penang branch. Highlighting the importance of China Construction Bank to Malaysia, Mr Tian said that through the establishment of its Penang branch, CCB will continue to serve the local economy and promote economic and trade exchanges between China and Malaysia, as well as sustainable development.

At the event, Penang State Chief Minister The Right Honourable Chow Kon Yeow expressed his warm congratulations on the opening of the Penang branch, thanked CCB for its important contribution to the construction of major local projects and the development of national industries, and looked forward to working with CCB to make greater contributions to the promotion of regional investment, trade development, and friendly relations between the two countries.

Ding Qiao, Acting Consul General of China in Penang, also expressed his support for China-Malaysia local economic and trade co-operation, and hoped that CCB would seize the opportunity of green economy development and make greater contribution to the construction of "One Belt, One Road" in high quality.

11月7日，中国建设银行（马来西亚）有限公司槟城分行在马来西亚槟城乔治市隆重举行了开业典礼。来自中马两国政府、企业、华社、金融机构等200余位嘉宾出席了这一重要活动。

在典礼上，建设银行董事长田国立表示感谢两国政府和社会各界长期以来对建行事业的关心和支持，特别是对槟城分行的大力支持。田国立强调了中国建设银行对马来西亚的重要性，表示通过在槟城设立分行，建行将继续服务当地经济建设，促进中马经贸交流，以及可持续发展。

Ines Translation and Interpretation has been engaged as the interpretation agency for the 1st Jiangsu Culture and Trade Fair (Malaysia). The exhibition was held from 17th to 19th November 2023 (Friday to Sunday) at Hall 1 and Hall 2 of the Kuala Lumpur Convention and Exhibition Centre (KLCC), Malaysia.

The exhibition is organised by the Department of Commerce of Jiangsu Province, with the support of the Chinese Embassy in Malaysia, as well as the Malaysian government, chambers of commerce and associations. The theme of the exhibition is "Sailing with Culture to the Sea, Building a Bridge for Trade Co-operation".

In the 5,000 square metres of exhibition area, a number of cultural and creative products and business resources will be on display. More than 110 Jiangsu enterprises will participate in the exhibition, showcasing non-heritage products such as cloud brocade, purple sand, silk, and sharing digital content such as games, animation, software outsourcing, copyrights, intellectual property rights and exchanges of special traditional Chinese medicines, gourmet food, tourism, international education and other special services. The exhibition will also feature a series of city promotions. A series of supporting activities such as city promotion, cultural performances and supply and demand negotiations will also be held during the exhibition.

Ines Translation & Interpretation completed simultaneous interpretation for the 14th ASEAN-China People-to-People Friendship Organization Conference of this year which took place in Penang, Malaysia, from 3 to 6 September.

Chairpersons and representatives of friendship associations from 10 ASEAN countries, officials from China, foreign countries and friendship associations, China-ASEAN organization officials, responsible persons from Malaysia, and Myanmar representatives from the Myanmar-China Friendship Association-(Central) participated in the occasion.

At the ceremony, the ASEAN-China People-to-People Friendship Organization Flag was handed over to Myanmar, which will be the host country for 2025. Measures to strengthen ASEAN-China cooperation, the exchange of views on the promotion of highly cooperative efforts against the COVID-19 epidemic, strengthening the friendship between the people of ASEAN and China, the promotion of joint ventures in emerging industries, and ASEAN-China bilateral quality development issues were discussed at the conference.
