As reported in Sin Chew Jit Poh:
"During the Buddhist flag raising campaign launch in Segamat recently, I had suggested to YB Liew Chin Tong to urge the Penang government to name one of the roads in Penang after the late Venerable Chuk Mor for his contributions to the Buddhist community and the nation".

In context, in Malaysia there are three roads named after Buddhist personalities which are connected to the efforts to declare Wesak Day as a Public Holiday.

1. Jalan Gunaratana in Penang was named after the former abbot of Mahindarama Buddhist Temple, Ven. K. Gunaratana Nayaka Maha Thera who was the first to propose Wesak Day to be designated as a public holiday in 1926.

2. Jalan Dr. Cheah Toon Lok in Alor Setar, Kedah was named after the former president of Kedah Buddhist Association 吉打佛学院 and also former acting president of MCA. Dr. Cheah had raised the issue of Wesak Day to be made a public holiday in Parliament when he was a Senator.

3. Jalan Rev. Seet Kim Beng in Melaka was adopted in recognition of Malaysian Buddhist Association 2nd president, the late Ven. Seet Kim Beng who together with Ven. Chuk Mor and Ven. Seck Kim Seng spearheaded the efforts in requesting the then Malayan government to declare Wesak Day as a public holiday. Wesak Day was celebrated as a public holiday in 1962.

Dear Penang CM Chow Kon Yeow 曹觀友,
Please consider a road to be named as Jalan Venerable Chuk Mor in Penang in recognition of Ven. Chuk Mor's contribution to the people and nation.
