So I was hired by Dak to be her wedding planner a year ago. And I was so honoured and happy when Dak’s sister got in touch with me for her wedding 🤍 At this point, I was so familiar with the family that by the end of the night it felt like I was coordinating a wedding for a family member

Dhanushkaa’s 21st Birthday Party – Event Planning & Styling by yours truly ✨

I came to know Dhanushkaa’s mom, Shanthini two years ago when she hired me to plan both her 50th and her dad’s 80th birthday that year.

So when Shanthini contacted me to plan her daughter’s 21st birthday this year I was beyond excited. I had a wonderful time working with some amazing vendors to bring their vision for this party to life.

Had the pleasure of being the Wedding Coordinator for Vijay and Sai’s Malayalee Wedding Ceremony yesterday at Sri Sithi Vinayagar Temple 🤍

Loved being part of a wedding which really highlighted the couple’s style, culture and background. The room was filled with so much love from their friends and family members.

I create a custom logistics plan to efficiently execute all of the wonderful details and events my couples have dreamt up for their wedding day.

I begin my process by meeting over a month to become familiar with your venue, vendors, details, and formalities.

The first order of business is a site visit. Then, an in-depth details + timeline meeting. Next up, I connect with your vendors. Followed by the design of your timeline and logistics plan.

Finally, I distribute the timeline to all of your vendors. This facilitates seamless collaboration between your service providers bringing your vision to life.

Planner vs. Coordinator

A wedding planner plans your wedding from start to finish. A wedding coordinator coordinates your wedding and is not involved but is not involved in the planning of the wedding (but is usually looped in at the final stage of the wedding to organise all vendors on the day).

Now, in the industry a planner can be called a Coordinator but the point of this post is to make sure that if you decide to plan your wedding yourself, you have a professional on the day to make sure everything goes smoothly. It is an important investment for your wedding.

I get it, hiring a Wedding Day Coordinator doesn’t always seem like a necessary but really, it is an investment… This may be your first rodeo but I have a fair bit of experience in Wedding and events… When you hire me (or any wedding professional), you get exclusive access to that experience 🙂

One decision that often surfaces is not hiring a wedding day coordinator. Planning a wedding is exciting but it can also be a rollercoaster of emotions and logistics.

Another big conversation I have with not just my clients but couples is - my venue has a coordinator so do we need a different wedding coordinator? The venue coordinator will be managing the services they provide but what about all the other vendors involved outside the venue ?

This is me! The team behind - yes “team” because running your own business makes you a photographer, admin assistant, marketer, social media manager, accountant and more, but that’s all me ☺️

I love my job and everything about my business, but there’s lots of other things that make me, me!

⭐️ I am married to my husband, David and together we have a little 9 month old, Asher

⭐️ David and I were supposed to be married in May, 2020 but then Covid hit and we subsequently rescheduled our wedding 3 times until we finally got to walk down the isle on 13th March 2021 surrounded by 20 of our nearest and dearest family and friends. Looking back , it was a wedding that truly reflected our style - small and intimate. So thank you, Covid 😜

⭐️ I love travelling. When I was studying in the UK, I travelled across Europe twice with friends and family - definitely my most memorable travel experience

⭐️ Any kind of event where people gather to celebrate, fill me with happiness - I’ve never had so much passion for a job until I started this business. Being your event planner is the most rewarding, beautiful career and that’s why I always work incredibly hard to be the best I can be for my clients
