A wedding to remember!

The bespoke slatted wooden backdrop seamlessly connects the KL city skyline to the ceremony ground, while the rounded tops give it a fun and retro 70’s vibe, bringing this 100-year-old colonial mansion back to yesteryear.

Neon, string lights, and candles add a romantic glow as the sun sets.

Wait, that sheath bouquet though! We’re not sure we could be more obsessed with this rare tawny brown orchid.

White Craspedia in varying lengths provide so much wattage that they benefit from the quieting effect of beige-colored pampas grasses.

A string of wood bead trails echoes these little white buttons, and it is just as integral to the look of the bouquet as the flowers themselves, totally perfect for this boho beauty.

In addition to the twin baby’s-breath garlands that enliven the upper section of the chuppah, the ceremonial ground is embellished with fresh blossoms, accentuated by the arched design of the baby’s-breath clouds, creating a strong visual continuity of the principal concept throughout the set.
�These garlands and arrangements forming wavy, curved lines transform the space into a dreamy garden setting for this cross-cultural wedding.

A gallery of circles, carefully positioned and installed, forms the base of this floral sculpture.

Space and rhythm among all the floral rings are key factors in the overall balance of this composition.

The geometrical aspect, combined with the natural course of various vivid colours blooms and foliage, gives it an enchanting aura that delights the guests.

Hellebores are the gentlest of flowers, with their nodding heads that hide away the subtle blend of colours within their petals.

Nature and human beings are blooming and hoping for a brighter sun and future.

𝓗𝓪𝔂𝓭𝓮𝓷 & 𝓐𝓾𝓻𝓮𝓽𝓽𝓪
Mix the big and blousy with the small and intricate, the pale with the dark, and the vintage with the contemporary.

Just a pair of these rustic, generous flower arrangements would set the tone for the day.

These arrangements are not about fiddling with little details, they are about setting a mood and creating a moody colour palette from deepest red blacks all the way through to white, which are perfect for this wedding and venue.

𝗪𝗲𝘀𝗹𝗲𝘆 & 𝗗𝗮𝘄𝗻
To create this Nordic vibe arrangement, we begin with a leafless magnolia branch in bud, sturdy and well developed, followed by Calla lilies.

As well as having a flawless Art Deco-style elegance, Calla lilies are truly classic, thanks to their sleek, architectural good looks.

The Calla lilies have been arranged to fall in different directions to give interest and movement to the composition.

Unique vases, candle holders, and modern table lamps added a contemporary accent to this minimal yet very effective tablescape.

Although subtle, it conveys an element of sweet surprise to those guests who are viewing through the circle vases.

𝗪𝗲𝘀𝗹𝗲𝘆 & 𝗗𝗮𝘄𝗻
It was swaying in the gentle breeze. It looks like the first glimpse of spring.

The combination of woody stems with all the tendrils that go in a million directions makes it poetic and romantic. They were absent of bigger blooms, but they gave us the height and drama we craved.

It is the Spirea thunbergii, always deliciously wild and beautiful, whether standing alone or arranged with others, as there is enough stature and grace that it will make a statement at a wedding wherever it is placed.

𝗪𝗲𝘀𝗹𝗲𝘆 & 𝗗𝗮𝘄𝗻
When we are trying towards sustainable floristry and open our minds to previously unconsidered vessels that are wildly unconventional, suddenly the choices become expansive—endless, even.

Flowers may be tied, leaning against, or suspended within the clearly defined boundaries of a vessel.

The overall effect is free and spacious, as floral materials are freed from the confines of a floral foam.

Water, where it is needed, is subtly introduced into the round, shallow trays of the vessels with novelty black center daisy blossoms afloat and encircling, providing a miniature contemplation feature for this bridal table.

𝓝𝓲𝓬𝓴 & 𝓢𝓲 𝓨𝓲𝓷𝓰
We erected a thin truss system overhead to form multi-span arches across the stage area, with the highest point of the arrangement as if free-floating nearly 4 meters off the ground.

We clothe the structures with Cyperus papyrus and Licuala grandis leaves in fan-like shapes. To these we festooned with fresh Phalaenopsis, anthurium, sprays of saffron Aranthera orchids in bundles, Japonica, and pendulous of amaranths to give this wedding arches a light and airy feel.

These arches served as a counterpoint to the lush greenery inside and outside the Glasshouse.

In these free-style flower arrangements, the main line is a long, stretching stem of Areca palm with a few leaves left at the tip. It is positioned horizontally just below the mass of Phalaenopsis orchids, adding linear amusement to the arrangement. Its near-leafless state is a way of creating a visual flow and adding to the air of frivolity.

𝓝𝓲𝓬𝓴 & 𝓢𝓲 𝓨𝓲𝓷𝓰
Because the bridal table is, as usual, placed on the same ceremony ground, we only have less than ten minutes to turnover, so we are working at a rapid pace.

Now that we need to style the table among cutlery and glassware, we shift and turn around the edge of the table with a lot of ‘Excuse me’, ‘Excuse me’ to the catering staff, trying to complete it before the tableware is full.

This asymmetrical centerpiece made use of big Licuala grandis palms and other coordinating leaves, with a few bunches of Cyperus papyrus to imbue it with movement. It also managed to add breathing space in between the focus flowers.
�We like to include the roots as well, which are not usually used in flower arrangements. It draws your attention as something unique and organic but doesn’t look out of place in this environment.

The brick wall in Glasshouse, decorated with tropical greenery and flowers, creates a sumptuous botanical backdrop that looks just right for the space and this wedding.

To complete this twin sculptural piece, the middle part of the wall displays different neon lights for both photo booth and tea ceremony purposes, respectively.

𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐧 & 𝐊𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐲𝐧
The evening had a sense of mystery and discovery conveyed by a dramatic, long tablescape.

Held in place by metal structures, multiple bundles of reedmace float above the long dining tables. These linear leaves are softened by taking full advantage of the natural force of gravity and highlighted to great effect.

Burgundy and rusty-coloured flowers parade along the tables, creating a visual flow and colour rhythm. Using a limited colour palette and repetitive shapes produces a calm and reassuring effect.

The end result is an unexpected, rustic yet elegant floral display that fills the ballroom with a giddily exuberant mass of horizontal green.

𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐧 & 𝐊𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐲𝐧
Some people see the world in lines, grids and graphs. But we are among those people who see the world in circles—infinite, eternal, and forever.

Circular form creates depth and distance; all angles are focal points.

This 5-foot circular centerpiece for the bridal table provided an opportunity for floral drama. It was bedecked with a profusion of amaranthus and burnt-orange leaves. The deep vermilion veins of maple leaves especially fascinated us and filled our hearts with wonder.

A few tall, cascading Phalaenopsis, showing off its full blooms of flowers, are the focus of the arrangement. Surrounding it are other vividly colored flowers that exude the energy of autumn.

We wanted the centerpiece to feel as if it were having the best party ever—its very own silent disco.

𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐧 & 𝐊𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐲𝐧
We like to push ourselves out of the comfort zone of what we have been taught about flowers and how and where they should be.

On these long guest tables, the rare and almost black Magical Dark Ruby Hydrangea paired with sexy burgundy Amaranthus and waxy orchid leaves set an elegant rustic tone.

We also enjoy adding textural or unconventional elements to our flower arrangements. The grouping baby eggplants here adds subtle interest or delicate, whimsical moments to the arrangements; its purplish-mauve hue takes the hydrangea to a new vernacular and gives it a different vibe and emotional quantity- there’s something interesting about using things that are not on the list.

Perhaps always think about what is beautiful rather than what is proper, which is well suited to the current floristry trend .

/ 𝗡𝗶𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗮𝘀 + 𝗜𝗹𝗹𝘆 The ethereal and almost unrestrainedly stillness of Gloriosa lilies are held on an elegant gold structure, create their own magic for this bridal table with their delicate wavy petals which float and dive in all directions. Massed together, yet with enough space for each bloom to exhibit its own shape , the effect is both hypnotically calm and alive. Choosing this Gloriosa lilies in fiery fuschia pink seemed to be the perfect choice to evokes thoughts and feelings of oriental, celebration and delight. By serendipity, the ‘Kelarai’ checkered woven pattern on the ceiling served as the perfect background for the centerpiece, befitting for this intercultural marriage.
