Every stitch creates wonders 🪡🧵.

Featuring our Artspire sponsored programme, Sewing Class taught by Cikgu Alif.

The students have learned sewing skills beginning with basic techniques, and they are now able to create handcrafted pieces that reflect their own unique touch.

At the end of the month, they’ll be part of a showcase during TIRAI 2025, featuring over 150 students from the Artspire programme, a fully sponsored programme for children and teenagers.

Together with our Young Chef and Visual Arts students, they’ll be presenting handmade creations that highlight their year-long journey. These groups of students will also be preparing Baba Nyonya–inspired handmade goodies for you to bring home!

Tirai also features The Courtyard Hotel, a production for our Artspire performing arts students in an in-house production written and directed by Arsyad Azrai, our Head of Creative Programmes.

A tale of tender comedy, it celebrates family, heritage, and the stubborn joy of community in a changing Kuala Lumpur.

Presenting the Artspire Theatre Ensemble in “Moonlight” performed in August 🎭

This performance has brought together students in an environment of teamwork, creativity, and growth. Helping each other build confidence and stage presence with every rehearsal. ✨

In November 2025, they’ll take centre stage as the cast of “The Courtyard Hotel” during TIRAI 2025, featuring over 110 students from the Artspire programme, a sponsored programme for children and teenagers.

The Courtyard Hotel is the final production for our Artspire performing arts students and is an in-house production written and directed by Arsyad Azrai, our Head of Creative Programmes.

It is a tale of tender comedy about family, heritage, and the stubborn joy of community in a changing Kuala Lumpur.

The production will be presented in English and Bahasa Melayu and will showcase the talent of students across Theatre, Gamelan, Angklung, 24 Festive Drums, Malay Dance, Chinese Dance, Indian Dance, Tari Silat, and Choir.

🌟Under the guidance of Cikgu Rushdi (Gamelan), Cikgu Zex (24-Festive Drums), Cikgu Mimah (Choir) and Cikgu Firdaus (Angklung), our Artspire students have shown they have the potential to perform under the spotlight. 🎵✨
