NOTICE : CATEGORIES OF FOREIGN NATIONALS HOLDING A VALID LONG TERM VISIT PASS WHO MAY ENTER MALAYSIA WITHOUT MYTRAVELPASS (MTP)/MYENTRY APPROVAL

NOTICE :
*CATEGORIES OF FOREIGN NATIONALS HOLDING A VALID LONG TERM VISIT PASS WHO MAY ENTER MALAYSIA WITHOUT MYTRAVELPASS (MTP)/MYENTRY APPROVAL*
Following the recent announcement made by the Immigration Department of Malaysia, please note with that with effect from 1 November 2021, foreign nationals holding the following specific categories of a valid Long Term Visit Pass may enter Malaysia without MyTravel Pass/MyEntry approval:
• Diplomat (Exemption Order)/dependent;
• Employment Pass (Category I,II,III) /dependent;
• Resident Pass-Talent (RP-T) /dependent;
• Professional Visit Pass-Specialist;
• Professional Visit Pass;
• Permanent Resident (PR)/Spouse/Child to PR;
• Long Term Pass (Spouse/Child) to citizens;
• Widow Pass to citizens;
• Student Pass/dependent/escort Pass;
• MM2H/dependent;
• Resident Pass; and
• Visit Pass (Temporary Employment) (PLKS)
Please note, however, the following foreign nationals who do not hold a valid Long Term Visit Pass of the above-mentioned categories (or has a newly approved application and therefore is not holding any Long Term Pass yet), MUST obtain a valid Visa from the High Commission of Malaysia and prior entry approval (on case-by-case basis) from the Immigration Department of Malaysia through MyTravelPass / MyEntry (https://www.imi.gov.my):
• Social visits-for emergency purpose only (travel for tourism is still not permitted);
• Holders of expired Long Term Visit Pass (all categories);
• Application for Employment Pass (Category I,II,III)/ Resident Pass-Talent (RP-T) /Professional Visit Pass-newly approved Specialist; and
• Short Term Business Travellers.
The entry procedures, health screening and quarantine procedures upon arrival in Malaysia are still subject to the existing rules/guidelines.
