BAND ANNOUNCEMENT!

, an alternative rock band, is the final act to take the stage at this year’s Noise Not Bombs Music Fest, promising a different kind of experience to the crowds. ETHNIC TRANSMISSION started their journey in Kuching in 2004. The band produces and sings most of its songs in their ‘Iban’ native tongue. Since their early days, the band released ‘Self-Titled’ EP CD and LP CD in 2005 and 2010, respectively. In addition, the Dayak Music Association (DAMA) awarded the band twice: once for Best New Male Singer in 2008 for their breakthrough song “Engka” and again for Best Music Arrangement in 2010 for “Pulai Pengujung”. The band produced three more singles, “Ngelepaska Diri”, “Engka 1984”, and “CGPA”, which are accessible on the Spotify digital platform, following their hiatus until 2020.
