Our deepest condolences to the Honourable Premier of Sarawak, Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr) Abang Haji Abdul Rahman Zohari bin Tun Datuk Abang Haji Openg, on the passing of his beloved wife, Puan Sri Datuk Amar Hajjah Juma'ani Tun Tuanku Haji Bujang.

The team at Place Borneo extends our heartfelt condolences to him and his family during this period of immense grief. Her contributions and presence will be deeply missed.

Majlis penghormatan terakhir akan diadakan di Masjid Jamek, Petra Jaya dari jam 10 pagi hingga 12 tengah hari sebelum jenazah dikebumikan di Tanah Perkuburan Islam Semariang.

Congratulations to the Department of Veterinary Services Sarawak (DVSS) for winning the ‘Malaysia Sustainability Initiative of the Year – Agriculture category’ at the GovMedia Awards 2025 in Singapore!

This award celebrates DVSS's excellent work, especially with their Pasir Puteh Pig Farming Area (PFA). This facility in Simunjan is a great example of modern and sustainable livestock farming, focusing on efficient waste treatment and disease control. Since 2017, the PFA has successfully exported a huge amount of pork to Singapore, generating significant revenue, and plans for further expansion promise even greater contributions, making Sarawak a key pork exporter in the region.

We are proud to co-organise the upcoming Rabies in Borneo Conference with DVSS, and we look forward to it!
