Hello well to my page, I found out that lot of women, finds it difficult to cook the Nigeria Jellof rice, with that signature taste, a lot believe that cookies on firewood and allowing it to burn will give you that taste, well I want to correct that by giving you the method in Cooking Jellof rice.
INGREDIENTS
Rice
Groundnut oil
Butter
Salt
Onions
Fresh tomatoes
Fresh Tatashi
Fresh shunbo
Fresh pepper
Tin tomatoes
Maggie
Kitchen glory
Benny chicken
Tomatoes spicy
Ginger, garlic, Tyme, curry, bayleaf
Rosemary, Jellof rice spicy
PROCEDURE
1 wash your tomatoes, pepper, Tatashi, shubo, onions, ginger, garlic , blend all and put on a pot for the water to dry then set it aside
2 Put water in a put on fire, when it's boil add your rice let it cook for 10 mins then wash off and set aside,
3 in a put add your butter and allow to melt, then you add your oil, making sure that's the oil and butter is not much or too small for the quantity of rice you want to cook, when the oil is very hot add your onions and cover the pot immediately, this help to retain the aroma, then you add your already perboil Tomatoes, stir and allow to dry for 10 mins then you add your tintomatoes, allow to fry, for 5 mins and add the stock from your chicken or meat depending on what you are using stir well using a wooden spoon, then add your Maggie, salt, and all the other seasonings and spices stir well and taste for salt and also to make sure it is well season, add the quantity of water you felt can be enough to cook the rice but not too much cause we don't want the rice to be over cook, after this process you cover the pot and allow the water to boil very well then you add your rice and stir using a wooden spoon, when the water is almost dry then you lower the light from your gas or stove or fire wood and allow it to be cooking but gradually, note if you're using fire wood cover very well to avoid smoke from getting into it your rice, when the rice is full dry you bring it down and your Jellof is ready, if you are adding veggies, like carrots, green beans, etc stir fry with little oil, curry, Maggie and pour into your already cook rice and MiX all together.
