We all face situations where it seems as though the door is shut. We’re working hard, but not getting good breaks. The loan didn’t go through. We still have the addiction. Thoughts will tell you, “That door is never going to open.” Sometimes it’s as though you’re permanently locked out. A friend walked away, a person betrayed you, or you came down with an illness. But God says He will open doors that no person can shut. God is your doorkeeper. He’s in control of the doors in your life. You may be up against a chained door with a dead bolt lock. There’s no way you can get well, start the business, or break the addiction. But when it’s your time, the Most High God will break the chains and unlock that door. You’re about to walk into what you’ve been shut out of—promotion, healing, freedom, the right people. Don’t believe the lies that the doors are permanently closed. The God who opens doors is doing a new thing. He’s about to take you where you’ve never been

Jesus doesn’t just have peace; He is peace. He gives us peace that passes understanding, peace that never changes, peace that can never be taken away.

It may seem too big, too late, too far, too much. That’s the way Mary felt. Do as she did and keep believing that the power of the Most High is going to make things happen that you can’t make happen. Nothing can stop Him from overshadowing you.

Today is a special day for us to give thanks to God for the good things He has done in our land, in our lives, and in the lives of our family members. When you take the time to pause and remember, you can see those times in your life when God brought you victory, brought you success. When you remember that He is providing for all your needs and give thanks to God for who He is and the miracles He has done in your life, you will be transformed.

And let us remember that thanksgiving is an attitude of our heart. Living with an attitude of gratitude means you don’t just thank God for what He did in the past, you also thank Him for what He will do in the future. You thank Him for opening new doors, for increasing you, and for bringing the right people into your life. When you thank God in advance, that’s really a declaration of faith. Live every day with an attitude of gratitude and thanksgiving.

When God’s favor is on your life and gives you more influence, small-minded people will throw spears at you that you need to keep dodging. They’ll be critical of you, say mean things about you, and treat you wrong. There will be plenty of opportunities to get baited into conflict, pick up their spears and throw them back. You have to get to the point where you’re not moved by persecution. When those spears start coming, that means you’re about to take the throne as David did. If you keep dodging the spears, overlooking the wrongs, and staying on the high road, God will take care of your Sauls.

Notice that while you’re working on someone else’s problem, God is working on your problem. You may think you could never get well, never break the addiction, never accomplish your dream. But if you keep being good to people, keep helping them solve their problem, keep helping their dream come to pass, what you can’t see is that God is lining up the healing, the breakthrough, the promotion. You can’t sow a seed without reaping a harvest.
