In a continued effort to deepen institutional engagement ahead of the upcoming ECOWAS FEBWE Nigeria Chapter 2025 International Trade Fair, Mr. Emmanuel Essien, Administrative Consultant to ECOWAS FEBWE Nigeria Chapter, paid a courtesy visit to Mr. Ayodele Adeeko, Head of Office at the Nigerian Shippers’ Council (NSC), Border Information Centre, located at the Seme-Krake Joint Border Post, Badagry.

The meeting centered around strengthening collaboration between ECOWAS FEBWE and the Nigerian Shippers’ Council, especially in the areas of trade facilitation, information sharing, and cross-border logistics support for women entrepreneurs across the West African region. Mr. Essien highlighted FEBWE’s commitment to advancing the role of women-led enterprises in intra-African trade and expressed appreciation for the Council’s support in promoting border efficiency and transparency.

Mr. Adeeko welcomed the initiative and reaffirmed the NSC’s willingness to collaborate with FEBWE Nigeria, especially in areas relating to trade awareness, port operations education, and logistical support. He expressed optimism that such partnerships would further simplify the trading experience for women entrepreneurs and expand economic opportunities for small and medium-scale businesses operating across ECOWAS member states.

The visit concluded with mutual agreement to explore actionable steps for partnership in line with the objectives of the 2025 Trade Fair and the broader ECOWAS integration agenda.
