1. He has past experience which may have scarred him emotionally, affecting how he views women. It will take a bit, even with professional help to carve your own niche in his life.

2. Even though many men don’t like to admit genuine fear, it exists especially with one whose previous marriage didn’t work. This may delay the journey from courtship to marriage again.

3. He already has responsibilities over his children which will affect the net resources available to others including you and in the future, your own children. Don’t appraise with the profile you see or what he earns, appraise with what’s left after current responsibilities.

4. His children connect him permanently with his ex wife which may mean drama or emotional pressure from time to time. You’d need to understand that this is not about you.

5. His children already have a biological mother who may already be feeding them bad views about their father and his life (including you). Be ready to try and love them patiently despite this possibility.
