Budget management is a vital part of event planning. Conferences, weddings, campaigns, birthdays, anniversaries, workshops and any other event you can think of require proper budget estimation.

Clients develop more trust and confidence in a planner who can come up with a budget that embraces the available resources and yet produces a colourful event.

I tell people that you can plan an event with millions and not see the effect of the millions if proper budget management is not in place.

In a case where the client has abundant resources and a particular dream event in mind, such event still requires a well-skilled event planner to come up with a reasonable budget estimate that fits into what the client has in mind without being wasteful.

The negotiating skill of the planner with vendors is key to staying within budget, else you keep going back and forth to get more resources for the event.

An event planner saves instead of overspending with the help of a planned budget.
It is also very important to always make room for contingencies when drawing the budget for any event.
