📍 Part 3 - There are so many things that we couldn’t even cover or show you behind the scenes because from the first day of setup until the final day of event rain had been dealing with us steady—the only solution was to work in the rain cause we had very limited time + multiple locations. We had a small window to think because we needed to act very fast at every point in time. Site readjustments and quick design changes had to happen in a flash as we executed plan A & B simultaneously. All this for the funeral of Elder Chief Mrs Nneji Nwannediya Emole, wife of the former Minister of Finance in the eastern region, and the mother to the Honorable Chief Justice Otisi of the Appeal court. The moment we arrived and began setup, it wasn’t business as usual and even the team members “felt” it—the stress, pain, sweat, tears and moments of prayers! They slept for only 3-4 hours, woke up and successfully saw shege everyday but never gave up! EBO is proud of the team it has trained—this event wouldn’t have been possible without their top gear performance—to ensure we didn’t just deliver the brief, but do it well enough that both client and guests had positive experiences. 📍 Part 2 - After three months of planning, we finally got to the execution phase, and we had just 2-3 days to setup 3 locations for a total of 4,000 guests. Location 1 - Funeral service/reception for 2,500 guests Location 2 - Service of Songs/celebration for 1,000 guests Location 3 - Commendation service for 500 guests This was the brief for the funeral of Elder Chief Mrs Nneji Nwannediya Emole, wife of the former Minister of Finance in the eastern region, and the mother to the Honorable Chief Justice Otisi of the Appeal court. Executing this event came with so many challenges from weather disturbances to vendor delays and community bottlenecks. But as expected when you hire a planner, we had to always make quick calls/fixes and on-the-spot changes. We had a team of 1 planner, 7 well-trained coordinators, 2 event managers and 4 support staff just to ensure we didn’t just deliver the brief, but do it well enough that both client and guests had positive experiences.
