Civil rights icon John Lewis would have turned 81 today. In the Op-Ed he wrote before he died, he said: "I urge you to answer the highest calling of your heart and stand up for what you truly believe. In my life I have done all I can to demonstrate that the way of peace, the way of love and nonviolence is the more excellent way. Now it is your turn to let freedom ring."

Today we remember his words and his legacy. May his example, persistence and quest for racial equality continue to inspire generations to come. Let us never give up in the fight for what is right. Let us never be afraid to make some noise.

Our Rehearsal tomorrow and Sunday will take place at the Surulere local government Secretariat, after Sh*tta roundabout,by Gogoro bus stop, Surulere.
9am to 5pm daily.
