SQuare embraces the remote workplace for their creatives

During the start of the pandemic we learned at SQuare more and more about the transition to a fully remote workplace in our day to day.

Whilst our offices in the Netherlands and South-Africa were our home away from home for many years, we now transition into a way where our creative team can access the specialized hardware and knowledge they need, wherever they happen to be, no matter what time-zone they are in.

Besides the convenience side of things, remote work boosts personal happiness because we don’t need to be in physical office space, with our team, to work and create anymore.

The decision to move out of the office spaces in 's-Hertogenbosch The Netherlands and in Muizenberg South-Africa comes as a result of the new hybrid work model instituted as a result of the pandemic.

As the world transitions to this reality of flexible, remote first work cultures, and unlocked efficiencies, SQuare is committed that the world and us working apart can still work together and create wonderment whilst reducing carbon-based emissions and improving the work-life balance at the same time.

Many of us are experiencing difficult feelings and emotions about (COVID-19) the coronavirus.
This may be about getting sick, the government restrictions, or feeling hopeless about when the pandemic might end and we can do whatever we want to do again.

The fact is, the heart and mind aren't always friendly.
But through kindness to others, your heart and mind will be peaceful and open. Things might feel hard right now, but this situation is unusual. And it won't last forever.

In the meantime:
Look after yourself, reach out to others and support people around you and focus on things that are positive in your life.

Remember:
We will be together again, sweaty, screaming and dancing,
We will rock, rave and roll and go out-of-control again 🤘
