Allow me to re introduce myself. I am the face behind the page, most have come to know me as Thando, which is a part of my full name. Thando means ’love,’ it’s precisely my love and passion for good and sharing my heritage that has brought me this far.
For the past few months it’s been a little quiet around here, though it quieted down in the kitchen, privately things got a lot busier and more fulfilling. We welcomed a new member to the family
While I am not yet fully back in full swing, I am navigating my way back into the kitchen. There will be a couple of changes as I steadily build up the pace.
My story and passion to share my culture with every dish and of course interaction, still fuel my journey with you all.
I look forward to sharing more classes, dinners as well as a few other personal projects I have lined up, while I find my feet as a mum of two and passionate foodie

Take me back to , to the rural coast, where wild things grow. Where and seafood are abundant💭.
This dish goes from wild garlic to amadumbe (taro) and Smokey haddock, and asparagus.
Enjoyed every last bite of this dish

Adding a little spring 🌱in your feed 😉
So it’s been a while 🫣😅, but as most of us start climbing back out of the rock we have been hiding under, it’s time to add color and vibrance back into the mix.
With the upcoming weekend coming up, I have start preparing all sorts of dishes in preparation for my mini talk at the event.
This is a much loved dish by many who have dined with us, as well as with my family. Over time it has evolved and goes through changes in appearance.
One of my secrets in adding a taste of home is adding biltong dust to amplify the flavor. 🤫🤫🤫
