Dutch sound artist Zeno van den Broek has been working steadily on an impressive career in electronic music.

November 29th we welcome Clara De Asis for our last event, which takes place at GROND. https://www.facebook.com/events/2337094543299028

Clara de Asís is a composer, performer and producer who explores the correlations of acoustics, spatiality and the praxis of attention. Her work accounts for material and sociopolitical relationality in the processes of engaging with sound, and is grounded in the elasticity of perception. She incorporates electronics and sound synthesis to idiosyncratic combinations of diverse materials, found objects and traditional instrumentation.

Her compositions, often developed collaboratively, juxtapose structural precision to areas of indeterminacy, drawing from an interest in experimental intonation, timbral research and the junction of rational and irrational systems.

So Long De Ruimte!
All things come to an end. After 11 years, it’s time to say goodbye, so long and farewell De Ruimte. We look forward to celebrate the legacy of De Ruimte with you all in the coming months of November and December, Join us as we explore the past and look to the future.

While some things come to an end, other people and places are popping up! The final edition of Ruisburo will take place at GROND, a new art space and collective at the Nieuwe Bajesdorp. Join us in discovering this new venue dedicated to experimental music, on this evening featuring no less then 4 acts with live electronics, sound experiments and improvisation.

After over 8 years of putting on concerts with my Ruisburo series at De Ruimte this is coming to an end.

There are 2 more events coming, of which the first on is RUISBURO with Karen Willems, Romke Kleefstra & Jan Kleefstra, and Marieke van de Ven on October 18th.
After this there will be one more final Ruisburo festival in collaboration with Dodó Kis her Nebular Sessions.

In July 2016 I got connected with De Ruimte after playing there myself for the first time (the picture to this post is from that first time). I was really charmed by the cosy and at the same time crazy venue.
After I put on many memorizable shows, some with veterans of the electronic music scene, like O Yuki Conjugate, Philip Jeck, and Asmus Tiechens, but also young (at that time emerging) musicians like Sarah Davachi and Yann Novak.
But also just other really cool things that maybe never got any fame, but were always worth the attention.

It has been great being part of this amazing team of De Ruimte, and being part of this beautiful scene for experimental electronic music here in Amsterdam, but also with all our (international) guests worldwide.
I want to thank all musicians who played at a Ruisburo, all the people from De Ruimte, and in specific Robert Van T Veld and Bart Verbunt.

What will happen in the future that I will continue putting on annual Moving Furniture Records festival as long as that is possible. And if someone asks to curate an event I will consider doing so ;-)

Rest me to say: let's celebrate two more times, and see you October 18th and in November when we have our last party (more info soon).
