EAST MEETS WEST 3.0 Fashion Expo
Where FASHION and CULTURE come together...
With great pleasure we anounce the third edition of our Fashion Expo, EMW3.0, in Amsterdam on 12 July 2017. This expo consists of 2 parts:
- an exhibition where designers and artists show their shoes, hats, jewelry and even paintings
- a fashion show where 8-12 fashion designers from several west en east/central European c
ountries will show their designs. This expo will be held at a great location in the centre of vibrant Amsterdam. The central theme will be the clash between fashion cultures from East/Central and West Europe. Fashion, seen as an expression of your inner self, is also a projection of your cultural background. This cultural background will be the focus at this Fashion Expo. Is cultural background guiding designer’s minds or are there enough common grounds to say that fashion is merely originated by the creative drive of designers...
Each continent, country or even region has it own rules for and trends in fashion. One of the factors influencing such trends are of course the people’s nature; in Scandinavia people are very ‘down to earth’ and in the Mediterranean regions it is well known that ‘passion’ and a ‘laid back’ kind of nature is common. Psychographic factors are important such as tradition, norms and values and openness to innovate, but also in what kind of climate you live is nice to consider, if we look at fashion trends. From several countries start up’s and designers, who are focussing on export, signed up already. Join this Fashion Expo EMW3.0 (under construction)
