Last Friday, we had the pleasure of welcoming psychotherapists to Beurs van Berlage for the the Dag van de Psychotherapie 2024. This day was dedicated to addressing the challenges psychotherapists face in an increasingly polarised society. 🧠

This year’s theme, 'polarisation in the therapy room', focused on the impact of societal divides on therapy sessions. Through insightful keynotes, interactive workshops and open dialogues, participants explored how therapists can navigate these complexities while continuing to support their clients effectively. 🌟

🌱 At the Beurs van Berlage, sustainability is one of our main priorities. That’s why we’re proud to be part of the Net Zero Carbon Events initiative, a global effort to tackle climate change in the events industry.

This initiative is aligned with global sustainability goals, including the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and aims to make sustainability the industry standard. By collaborating, venues worldwide can overcome challenges and create a sustainable future together.

As our Marketing Director Willemijn de Vet explains: "As an event venue, you don’t need to reinvent the wheel. All venues face the same challenges and working together makes sustainability the norm. This strengthens our position when we tell organisers we offer local products or don’t print wasteful banners. The industry no longer does that."

Beurs van Berlage selects Vineyard Premium Catering as its new catering partner

Beurs van Berlage Amsterdam has chosen Vineyard Premium Catering as its new preferred catering partner. With this decision, the Beurs van Berlage is entering a new chapter that focuses on sustainability, innovation, and personal attention.

The Beurs van Berlage is renowned worldwide for hosting international conferences and events. For these gatherings and receptions, the in-house team, led by head chef Henk van Veluw, provides catering. Larger dinners and events were previously catered by Maison van den Boer, but from January onwards, Vineyard Premium Catering will take on this role.

After nearly two decades of collaboration with Maison van den Boer, Beurs van Berlage is closing a remarkable chapter. Marcel Schonenberg, Managing Director of Beurs van Berlage, reflects: “The partnership with Maison van den Boer was always professional and focused on the highest quality. We are grateful for their dedication and look back with pride on what we achieved together.”

The collaboration with Vineyard Premium Catering represents a deliberate step towards future-oriented catering. Lydia Baloe, Operations Director at Beurs van Berlage, explains: “With Vineyard, we can offer our guests a new standard: creative and high-quality dishes that are not only exceptionally delicious but also contribute to our sustainability ambitions. Think of reducing food waste, promoting healthy eating, and an inclusive HR policy. Together, we aim to make a positive impact.”

The partnership with Vineyard is not only about sustainability but also about creating memorable experiences. Nienke Oosting, Operational & Marketing Director of Vineyard Premium Catering, adds: “The Beurs van Berlage aligns perfectly with Vineyard Premium Catering, not only in core values and working methods but also in our shared ambitions for sustainability. We are incredibly excited to work together – in collaboration with our executive chef Arnout van der Kolk – to make every event at Beurs van Berlage a truly unique experience.”
