Sweet Potato Kuih Talam

This is different than the traditional kuih talam which has only two layers The white layer (coconut milk) and the green layer (pandan flavout)

This particular kuih talam has 3 layers. Top layer is the coconut milk. The next layer is made from orange sweet potato and the last layer is made from purple sweet potato. All the colours are from natural colours no artificial colouring is used.

This will be availble for order this week along with Kuih seri muka and Angku kuih.

These flaky siew pao are so light, not oily and the homemade char siew are tender and not overly fatty.

Thank you all for the support of this time charity run for the children covid ward in Penang Hospital. With the mooncakes sales and some extra from our customers... we managed to donate €900( roughly Rm4350)

All together with the children concert, the final total is RM36000. With this we managed to buy 11 units of equipments for them.

In this pandemic, Malaysia has suffered a great deal. The infection rate still linger in the 20+k per day. As a Malaysian oversea, I feel sad and helpless seeing how our beloved home turned into such a hopeless situations. I wish to do something for them back home, I have decided to donate 25% of my mooncake earning this year to Malaysia for buying materials needed in the hospitals. This fund raising action is arranged with a friend (Ong AiNee) who has direct contact with the hospitals back home.

Please support us and for a better Malaysia!

Don't worry if you my pick it up from Amsterdam. We use a delivery service which deliver in refrigerated truck any where in the Netherlands.

A far away friend called to order these two special platters for surprise birthday presents for two beautiful ladies.

There is no food coloring in the kuih except to colour the red eggs. All the colors are natural and plant base. Blue from blue pea flower, green from pandan leaves, purple from purple sweet potato, orange/yellow from orange sweet potato.

These platters are great as birthday gift, special occasions like anniversary, valentine's day. Also for high tea with friends, or just a gift for yourself!

It's that time of the year! Drying chillies 😆😆

These are all organic chillies fresh off from organic farm. Usually we get the 2nd grade chillies where they are not straight or not fat enough or have scars and can't sell in supermarkets. But this year we got lucky to purchase these 1st grade chillies from them because there were over produced last week in Europe market. They are nice and "fat", all very shining and not even a scratch on them.

And yes... We dried our own chillies. So all the spicy food you bought from us are made with these chillies. Organic, clean and with love ❤️

Finally the bak zhang is behind my back 😊 finished wrapping the very last batch. Wanted to say thank you all for supporting, and those who have patiently waited for weeks before they get their orders. Hope you all enjoy every single bites from these delicious bak zhang, nyonya zhang and kee zhang (and of course the kaya!) and "being" you back home well at least the taste of home😆

Also special thanks to my hubby who built the racks for me to hang the dumplings. After my dumplings "accident", it was too heavy for my old construction with 2 chairs, it collapsed! Some of the dumplings were crushed😭, he came to rescue and built these racks in half a day. Now I can put 2 roods on the racks. They even collapsible for storage😆😆😆

终于把所有的粽子包好了！可以休息啦！😊
谢谢大家的支持，有的人真的等了好几个星期才拿到，真的谢谢你们的耐心！希望每一口你都可以吃到家的味道。

Finally the duck eggs are in their brine. They will be ready in 25 to 30 days. Just in time for the bak zhang😁

Took a while to clean these eggs, and arranged them in the pots. I cracked 5 eggs in the process 😅😅 tomorrow will have char keuy teow with duck eggs.
