This is one of my favorite drone shots I have taken so far. Got to witness this scene while driving through the beautiful landscape of south iceland. The light was just way too magical to not to stop and get a shot. The edit was quite a bit of a challenge as I shot it in basic jpg by mistake 😅

You know how many horses are there in Iceland?
Its 80000!!! That's like 1 horses for every 4 Icelandic person.

When the first Norse Viking settlers arrived in Iceland, they brought their horses and belief system with them, and so the Icelandic horse became ingrained in the very fabric of Icelandic culture.

This was easy the most stunning waterfalls I have ever seen in my life. When you get close to the falls, all you see is just two colors. Pure black sand and cliff with pure white misty water flower. What an amazing experience this place was!

Photography: There's no good photo without a subject. Always look for interesting subjects to add to your frame - pay attention to the colors, use grids to place your subject. If this is done right, there's no way you will end up with a bad photo. For getting this frame, I asked this gentleman in red jacket to pose for me and he was nice enough to do so.

Editing: I follow this for almost all my photos. Choose just two colors, enhance these two in the best possible way and mute the rest. Easy!

This is probably the most strongest waterfalls I never stood near. You definitely need a rain coat to visit this place.

Photography: I used wide lens for this shot. When you use wide lens, try to click from lower angles to portray the background in a stronger manner. In this shot, the aim was to give significant importance for the waterfall behind and hence the angle

Though was not at its best beauty possible when we visited, it was still a sight to see. The landscape is so wide and unique and the beach nearby adds the pinch of salt to it.

Photography tip: Always look for leading lines while framing a picture and if those lines lead to the subject, it's even better. Keep these lines symmetric and add try to add contrast colors in the image. Trust me, you can never go wrong with these shots

It's world photography day and I would like a moment to share what it means to be a photographer. Here's what I like about photography: we don't care about the challenges when it comes to making a good shot. We wake up early, we sleep late, we walk miles, we starve if there's a need, we run on rocks, weather won't stop us, the heat is something that we never bother about. We chase storms and we go out on a freezing cold day. All that matters is to get that ONE more shot.

To all you photographers out there! You're awesome! Thank you so much for showing us the world so beautifully. Without you guys, everything would have felt so pale and dull.

Keep inspiring, Keep creating. More power ✨️ to you all.

I shot this on the famous Diamond Beach of Iceland. Like I was mentioning in my previous posts, the Diamonds (ice cubes) on the beach come from a near by Glacier. The stunning contrast between the ice blocks and the pure black sand on the beach makes this place as unique as it is. In photo 2, you will see a bridge under which the cubes pass by and head towards the beach.

So, will I recommend this place? HELL YES! It's one of the most beautiful destinations in Iceland and I totally recommend a visit. For camping enthusiasts, there are some camping sites near by as well.

Taking about photography, I always try to add some foreground to my photos especially when I'm shooting wide to add to the depth of field to the image. On photo 1, you will see me using the beach sand as foreground and a subject which stands out because of the color. If you're interested in knowing how I pick colors for my images, DM me and I will share the color palette I have handy always.

The Glacier Lake
You can take a nice boat ride on Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon and taking a boat tour is the best way to experience the beauty and majesty of this natural wonder. But be sure to visit the place before 4PM.

The Glacier Lagoon
We didn't have this place on our itinerary. After driving for like 2 hours on no-man volcanic lands, we accidentally came across this lake with these huge blocks of ice floating. The lake is formed from the Glacier behind and the view was so stunning. The floating ice blocks slowly moves towards the ocean forming the famous Diamond Beach. Add this place to your list without miss if you ever visit Iceland.
Fact: The Lagoon formed only around 1935 due to raise in global temperatures and it has doubled in size since 1975!
