For years, fats have been the villain in the diet world. โ€œLow-fatโ€ and โ€œnon-fatโ€ options have been marketed as healthier, but is all fat really bad for us? The answer is no!

While saturated and trans fats (think butter, red meat, and full-fat dairy) should be limited, healthy fats (like those in nuts, seeds and fatty fish) are essential for our bodies. They help with heart health, energy, hormone production, and nutrient absorption.

For inspiration, weโ€™ve listed a few of our dishes with healthy fats incorporated in them. Donโ€™t fear the fatโ€”just choose the right kind!
