ARTWORK REVEAL ⚡ 25-06 ⚡ PLANETART TV presents The Archives Special with Stanza and Hansje van Halem.

🚀 Stanza is an internationally recognized artist, who has been exhibiting worldwide since 1984 and was among the first artists to use the internet as an art medium.

The Reader is a 2-meter-tall data visualization sculpture of Stanza himself, that becomes a pulsing algorithmic heartbeat of living data. Custom-made digital software and hardware generate live events inside the sculpture.

If data visualization, surveillance culture, artificial intelligence, and machine learning catch your interest, then don't miss this edition of PLANETART TV!

Opening RMT X GOGBOT So Future was a blast!

This Summer, from June 18 - Sep 25, @ and GOGBOT collaborate once again to bring you a sophisticated and high-minded exhibition: SO FUTURE is a deep dive into visions about the future that deviate from the mainstream futurist narratives we all know. With SO FUTURE, we present truly alternative and underground perspectives regarding ideas of what our/the future can look like.

RMT x GOGBOT is an exhibition by PLANETART in collaboration with Rijksmuseum Twenthe for GOGBOT Festival 2022.

Deelnemende kunstenaars aan de tentoonstelling zijn: Isabelle Arvers, Jeremy Bailey, Constant, DISNOVATION.ORG, Femke Herregraven, Viviane Komati, Amor Muñoz, Sabrina Ratté, Jonas Staal i.s.m. Jan Fermon, Stanza, Ivar Veermaë en ViaOral.

The Embassy of Aliens is a diplomacy initiative to develop and promote intragalactic tools through which to develop a reimagining of aliens. The first tool to be launched is a musical instrument that facilitates communication between humans and their inner aliens.

The project hopes to challenge the way we think about the stereotypes, stigmas, and borders we project onto others, societies and worlds.

We were impressed by their creativity and skill in recreating such a crazy selection of pictures! All of them are winners, so we granted them a goody bag with a t-shirt and other gifts!

Coming soon! ⚡We commissioned Artist Jay-Cee Klees to create a new artwork for the LED CUBE inspired by ‘The Metaverse’, a term you see all over the news and internet since late 2021. “METAFORM: This animation is about a machine that creates a ‘Metaform’ of its users by collecting and processing their user data. This new Metaform will inspire the user to behave differently, resulting in new user data which in turn affects their metaform; creating an infinite loop of transformations. With this animation, the LED cube becomes a machine, a factory where each panel has its own theme. You can follow the flow of data by walking around the cube.” Jay-Cee said: “The Metaverse inspires the physical world as does the physical world inspire the Metaverse. Even on a personal level.” ⚡Later this week, the animation will be showcased on the LED Cube at Stationsplein for an indefinite amount of time. (The picture in the post is a digital mockup) To celebrate this new work, we will host an interview between Kees de Groot (Creative Director of PLANETART) and artist Jay-Cee Klees (Who graduated at PLANETART) and talk about the LED Cube itself, Jay-Cee as a (VR) animator and the inspiration and passion behind this artwork.
