VALENTINES DAY
Ahhh, LOVE. Do we really need to say more? Here at The Cubic, we're all about loving and accepting each other exactly how we are. This is why we decided to do a bit of celebrating with cakes and gifts. Just remember that Valentines Day isn't the only day you can express your gratitude for the people in your life, it's not the only day you can compliment someone. Let's all spread a little love together!

Ahhh, de LIEFDE. We hoeven verder niets te zeggen, toch? Hier bij The Cubic zijn we helemaal voor het van elkaar houden en elkaar accepteren precies zoals we zijn. Om deze reden besloten we deze speciale dag te vieren met gebakjes en cadeautjes. Denk er alleen wel aan dat Valentijnsdag niet de enige dag is waarop je je waardering voor de mensen in je leven uit kunt spreken, en dat het niet de enige dag is waarop je iemand kunt complimenteren. Laten we samen wat liefde verspreiden!

Every month, our Hospitality & Events team organizes Friday Night Drinks. This is where our colleagues get to enjoy some liquid and non-liquid goodies, play games, catch up and/or party. Recently we all practiced our poker faces for casino night! Next to poker, it was also possible to play rock, paper, scissors or black jack with one of Dephion's animated characters. Good luck and bad luck aside, we had a blast!

Elke maand wordt er door ons Hospitality & Events team Friday Night Drinks georganiseerd. Dit is waar onze collega's kunnen genieten van diverse versnaperingen, ze spelletjes kunnen spelen, bijpraten en/of feesten. Onlangs hebben we allemaal onze poker face geoefend voor casino night! Naast poker was het ook mogelijk om steen, papier, schaar of black jack te spelen met één van Dephion's geanimeerde karakers. Geluk of niet, we hebben een topavond gehad!

A Friday like any other? Guess again! On a crispy Friday afternoon we celebrated the upcoming holidays with our work family by indulging in a delicious two-course lunch and jummy sweets for desert. We topped off the celebrations with a pubquiz, which of course brought out the most competitive side of everyone's holiday mood. Eight teams battled for http://Bol.com giftcards and for everlasting glory. I'm sure the winning team will remind us losers of their victory often. From the Cubic we wish you happy holidays!

Een vrijdag zoals elke andere? Raad nog maar eens! Op een met sneeuw bestrooide vrijdagmiddag vierden we de aankomende feestdagen met onze werkfamilie door deel te nemen aan een heerlijke tweegangenlunch en te snoepen van allerlei zoetigheden. We maakten de dag compleet met een pubquiz, die uiteraard de meest competetieve kant van ieders serene feeststemming boven haalde. After showering, do you sometimes feel like you are an undiscovered vocal talent, a diamond in the rough? Nope, neither do we. Nevertheless, we decided it was time for some much needed relaxation. And what relaxes the body and mind more than karaoke? That's right, karaoke with your colleagues! Old and new classics made their grand entrance, and we will definitely plan another karaoke session in the nearby future!

Heb jij na het douchen ook wel eens het gevoel dat je een onontdekt vocaal talent bezit, dat je qua stemgeluid een ruwe diamant bent? Nee, wij ook niet. Desalnietemin besloten we dat het tijd was voor een stukje broodnodige ontspanning. En wat ontspant lichaam en geest meer dan karaoke? Juist, karaoke met je collega's! Oude en nieuwe klassiekers passeerden de revu, en we gaan zeker een volgende karaoke sessie plannen in de nabije toekomst!

At night, he rides on the roofs of our houses with his faithful horse Ozosnel and his companion Piet. He brings joy to children all over the country with sweets and presents, that it, IF they were good this year. It's one of the best traditions in our Dutch culture: Sinterklaas. Last weekend we had a little party at The Cubic for our colleagues and their families, we even had a surprise visit from Sint and Piet to hand us some goodies. Today we celebrate Sinterklaas' birthday. Have you been good this year? Guess we'll find out tonight!

In de nacht rijdt hij over de daken van onze huizen op zijn trouwe ros Ozosnel en met zijn metgezel Piet. Hij brengt vreugde aan kinderen in het hele land met zoetigheden en cadeautjes, tenminste, ALS ze lief zijn geweest dit jaar. Het is één van de mooiste tradities die onze Nederlandse cultuur rijk is: Sinterklaas. Afgelopen weekend hadden we een klein feestje bij The Cubic voor onze collega's en hun gezinnen, er was zelfs een verrassingsbezoek van Sint en Piet om ons iets leuks te bezorgen. Vandaag vieren we de verjaardag van Sinterklaas. Ben jij lief geweest dit jaar? Waarschijnlijk kom je daar vanavond achter!

Witches, warlocks, things that go “BOO” in the night, each and every one assembled last Friday at The Cubic for a party to die for. We all enjoyed some gruesome drinks and snacks, and each other’s ghastly company.

Heksen, tovenaars, dingen die “BOE” krijsen in de nacht, ze kwamen afgelopen vrijdag allemaal samen in The Cubic om een gruwelijk leuk feestje te vieren. We genoten van de meest angstaanjagende drankjes en snacks, en van elkaars afgrijselijke gezelschap.

Fall has officially started, and some delicious drinks were introduced to celebrate the start of the new season. Indulge yourself in liquid gold like pumpkin spice latte, winter tea and gingerbread latte. We now even have decaf coffee for the people who enjoy their daily brew, but also treasure a decent night of sleep.

De herfst heeft officieel zijn intrede gemaakt, en om de start van een nieuw seizoen te vieren hebben we enkele heerlijke drankjes geïntroduceerd. Geniet van vloeibaar goud zoals pumpkin spice latte, winter thee en gingerbread latte. We hebben nu zelfs decaf koffie voor de mensen die gek zijn op hun bakkie, maar die ook veel waarde hechten aan hun nachtrust.

We are live! The reservation system for the meeting rooms on the ground floor are fully functional and ready to be tested thoroughly. You can simply book a room through the Fluxum application or on the display next to the room.

We zijn live! Het reserveringssysteem voor de vergaderruimtes op de begane grond is volledig in werking en klaar om grondig getest te worden. Je kunt simpelweg een ruimte reserveren via de Fluxum applicatie of via de display naast de ruimte.

Here at The Cubic we try to constantly improve our building and the surrounding area because we not only care about our employees, but also about our planet. Recently four charging stations for electrical cars were installed near the back entrance. They can simply be used with a charging card.

Hier bij The Cubic proberen we constant om ons gebouw en het gebied eromheen te verbeteren omdat we niet alleen geven om onze werknemers, maar ook om onze planeet. Onlangs werden er vier laadpalen voor elektrische auto’s geïnstalleerd nabij de achteruitgang. Ze kunnen gebruikt worden met een laadkaart.

Last Friday was a day like any other. Almost. Whispering could be heard around the corners, strategies were shared, game positions divided. Something was buzzing through the halls of The Cubic.. And so it was that at the end of the workday we found an inflatable table foosball arena outside so we could be human size foosball men and women. It goes without saying that food was provided as well, unlimited fries and Dutch snacks were there for everyone to enjoy. The competition was fierce, but thankfully most of us survived.

Afgelopen vrijdag was een dag als iedere andere. Bijna dan. Als je goed luisterde hoorde je gefluister om de hoek, er werden strategieën gedeeld, spel posities verdeeld. Er zoemde iets door de gangen van The Cubic.. En zo gebeurde het dat tegen het einde van de werkdag we buiten een opblaasbare tafelvoetbal arena vonden, zodat we levend tafelvoetbal konden spelen. Er hoeft waarschijnlijk niet bij verteld te worden dat er ook eten was voorzien, ongelimiteerd friet en Nederlandse snacks waar iedereen van kon meegenieten. Het was een harde strijd, maar gelukkig hebben de meeste van ons het overleefd.

Here at The Cubic we don’t only like to work hard, but also love to play hard. A while ago we took our best boots out of our closets and dusted off our cowboy hats for a rodeo and barbecue for some after work relaxation.

Hier bij The Cubic wordt er niet alleen hard gewerkt maar ook hard ontspannen. Een tijdje geleden pakten we onze beste laarzen uit de kast en stoften we onze cowboy hoeden af voor een rodeo en barbecue voor de nodige ontspanning.

Father. The one who taught you how to ride your bike. The one who bought you your first beer. The one with all those awful dad-jokes. The one who showed you how to tie your tie. Yesterday at the Cubic we celebrated all father figures in our lives. On every floor a graphic and sweets could be found. Aperol Spritz was whipped up for lunch, and everyone started their workday with a tie-shaped postcard on their desk.

Vader. Degene die je leerde hoe je moet fietsen. Degene die je eerste biertje voor je betaalde. Degene met al die verschrikkelijke dad-jokes. Degene die je liet zien hoe je je stropdas moet knopen. Gisteren vierden we bij the Cubic alle vaderfiguren in ons leven. Op iedere verdieping waren een grafische kaart en zoetigheden te vinden. Er werd Aperol Spritz gemixt bij de lunch, en iedereen begon zijn/haar werkdag met een stropdas-vormig kaartje.

The Academy: a place where minds are sharped. The classroom is open to all kinds of courses and lessons, for instance courses for upcoming psychologists, physical therapy, or even meditation. The students are treated like colleagues, friends even and do not only have access to a lot of information and new insights but also to our amazing lunch and full open bar. No one leaves The Cubic feeling hungry, unhappy, or without knowledge. That’s for sure!

The Academy: een plek waar breinen geslepen worden. Het klaslokaal is geopend voor allerlei verschillende cursussen en lessen, bijvoorbeeld voor aankomend psychologen, fysiotherapie, en zelfs voor meditatie. De studenten worden behandeld als collega’s, als vrienden. Ze hebben niet alleen toegang tot een grote hoeveelheid informatie en nieuwe inzichten, maar ook tot onze geweldige lunch en open bar. Niemand verlaat The Cubic met een lege maag, ontevreden of zonder kennis. Dat is zeker!

Who is Theo? A cook, a familyman, a business owner. He loves good food and cosiness, to interact with lots of different people. He has a catering company and a cooking studio , where he can combine his love for food with socializing. You can also find him at where he is not only the host but also the head chef. Around the holidays, his dinertable is always the most important spot in the house, where you can find not only Theo, but also his two children, his husband, his three kids and grandchildren.

His passion for food began at an early age. His mothers cooking wasn’t exactly to his liking, so he decided that he would like to show people what good food tastes like, and how they can cook something jummy themselves.

A few times a week, he is the one who provides us with a delicious hot meal. But what does he think about working with the Cubic? When asked, he smiled and said: ‘It can be quite a challenge to cook for so many people with different backgrounds and cultures! But I try my best to put a smile on everyone’s faces, that’s one of my favorite things about my job.’

As a company that is (in all kinds of ways) involved in health and wellbeing, having some healthy snacks available is a must. Each day there is a nice selection to be found at the Meeting Point. And you know what they say: an apple a day keeps the doctor away!

Voor een bedrijf dat op allerlei manieren te maken heeft met gezondheid en welzijn, is het een must om gezonde snacks te voorzien. Elke dag is er een mooie selectie te vinden in the Meeting Point. En je weet wat ze zeggen: een ei hoort erbij!

Mother. A person who loves and gives. Who is the maker and keeper of special memories. Someone to be admired. Today at the Cubic we celebrated all mother figures in our lives. On every floor a bouquet, graphic and sweets could be found. Pink Mimosa’s were whipped up for lunch, and everyone started their workday with a postcard on their desk. Today was a good day.

Moeder. Een persoon die weet wat ‘houden van’ en ‘geven’ is. De maker en bewaker van speciale herinneringen. Iemand om te bewonderen. Vandaag vieren we bij the Cubic alle moederfiguren in ons leven. Op iedere verdieping zijn een boeket, grafische kaart en zoetigheden te vinden. Er werden roze Mimosa’s gemixt bij de lunch, en iedereen begon zijn/haar werkdag met een kaartje. Het was een fijne dag.

Whenever we feel the need to refuel, The Meeting Point is the place to go for basically everything. Breakfast and lunch are provided for all employees here every day, and are either prepared by our lovely hospitality team or our chef extraordinaire Theo . Feeling peckish somewhere in between? Feel free to enjoy a piece of fruit, candybar, nuts, soup or a variety of cold and hot drinks.

Als we even op moeten laden is The Meeting Point de perfecte plek om dit te doen. Het ontbijt en de lunch wordt hier iedere dag voor alle werknemers voorzien, en wordt ofwel bereid door ons lieftallige hospitality team of door onze meester chef Theo . Spring has made her grand entrance at the Cubic with a couple of blooming cherry trees leading up to the building. If this doesn’t get you in the right mood for work, we don’t know what will..

De lente heeft een grootse entree gemaakt bij the Cubic met een paar in bloei staande kersenbomen die je de weg wijzen naar het gebouw. Als dat je niet in de juiste ‘work-mode’ brengt, dan weten wij het ook niet meer..

Part two of our Easter fun!

After breakfast, the game was on. The Easter bunny took a tumble in our garden and lost all his eggs, oh no! Thank goodness we had a lot of little helpers. All of the eggs were found, and the kids received some chocolate goodies from our long eared buddy to thank them for all of their hard work.

Na het ontbijt kon het spel beginnen. De Paashaas struikelde in onze tuin en verloor al zijn eieren, oh nee! Gelukkig waren we voorzien van een heleboel kleine helpers. Alle eieren werden gevonden, en de kinderen kregen chocolade lekkernijen van onze lang-orige vriend om ze te bedanken voor al hun harde werk.

Part one of our Easter fun!

Last Saturday we invited the lovely families of our co-workers to a delicious Easter breakfast, a meet and greet with the Easter bunny and an egg hunt. (There might also have been some chocolate involved) A big thank you to everyone who joined us, we had a marvellous time!

Afgelopen zaterdag hadden we de gezinnen van onze collega’s uitgenodigd voor een overheerlijk Paasontbijt, een ontmoeting met de Paashaas en een heuse eierjacht. (Er was heel misschien ook wat chocolade aanwezig) Heel erg bedankt aan alle aanwezigen, het was een geslaagde ochtend!
