After our event at Bamboo Lodge this Saturday, we’re hosting an afterparty in the upstairs room of our most beloved .
For many of us, OOST is the place where our love for electronic music has started and developed. With their wide variety of (sub)genres in the electronic music scene, there’s a lot to love and we’re very happy and honored to be contributing to one of their known club nights.
For our stage we invited two DJ’s you have seen in our earlier parties.
First up we have .spoken, who closed our EM2 party. Neutron will start off the night with a passionate mix between broken beats, breaks and techno.
Closing off the night, , who played a b2b with Noia at our Kiwi event, will win your hearts with a sweaty mix of bass and techno that will satisfy your need for lower frequencies - dress lightly.
Ticket holders of our day event at Bamboo Lodge can get a discount on their tickets for OOST. To get this discount you can show your ticket at the door.
Introducing our first guest DJ for the upcoming open-air at Bamboo Lodge: UKAB
Hailing from Mexico and a seasoned player in the local house party scene, UKAB is ready to showcase his unique and compelling style.
When thinking about the venue and the sound concept for this event, UKAB style seemed like the perfect fit to start the day. With is mix of organic melodies, hypnotic vocals, and all the percussion he brings on his sets it was clear that he would bring an unique set to the bamboo stage
Ukab's sound is a mesmerizing blend of tribal, jungle, Latino, and Afro rhythms, promising a trip filled with euphoric dance vibes 💃🕺

NEUTRON, local talent from Groningen, is known for his diverse and uncompromising sets that keep the groove going and the dance floor moving. With a passion for pushing boundaries, NEUTRON creates sets that are diverse, uncompromising, and always unexpected, touching on different styles of electronic music. With a constant groove that keeps you moving, NEUTRON ensures that the energy stays high all the way to the end of the night.
NEUTRON's co-founding of alongside Lucius in early 2020 is a testament to their obsession with finding new and inspired artists who push electronic music to new heights.

We couldn’t be happier of how last Saturday turned out.
Thanks to all of those who filled our dancefloor until 7am, to all the Djs who provided an amazing sound all throughout the night, and to for letting us make their venue our sacred dancefloor for another successful project.
This was a big milestone for us, we have been planning this event for a long time now and we couldnt be prouder of how it turned out.
This whole Project has been a big learning curve for this team, but also such a fun experience, and with every event we always aim to improve and learn new things. We hope you guys have been having as much fun as we have🖤

“I’m gonna play a fast and trippy set ranging from Tek over Psy into dark driving trance.”
David first got in contact with the scene in his hometown Rostock, Germany through his favourite local venue, antifascist social space JAZ and an event series called Endrave. From there on he tried to discover as many sounds and scenes as possible all across Germany and Europe. Listen to some of his most recent works and you will notice his love for the new trance sounds, many of which originate in Scandinavia.
Now in Groningen he dedicates most of his electronic music passion to Raya Recordings through programming and artist care work. Having recently debuted at Oost as support act for Mama snake and soon to play for Paradigm Nye, you can be sure he will bring his A game tomorrow.

Hedwig has developed a strong passion for electronic music. Her established sound can be described as drive-oriented and has deep hypnotic elements entwined. She fell for the growling bass lines combined with rhythmic percussion.
ONID will not be alone at the decks, our newest resident Noia will be alongside and for sure will be an unique b2b set full of groovy fast sounds to keep you with full energy throughout the night.

We are happy to introduce our newest resident dj: Noia
is 22 years old, from Groningen, Netherlands
Noa started off her mixing with fast paced techno and trance, but soon found her passion for faster paced rolling techno and grooves.
She fell in love with the techno scene after attending and working at different events around Groningen. With influences from different styles of techno, she’s always provides groovy, faster-paced sets mixed with vocals that will want you to keep dancing all night.

We are happy to introduce our fourth resident Dj: Leote
is 20 years old, coming from Lisbon, Portugal
He first gravitated to playing house but quickly found a liking to techno as well.
Nowadays he’s been venturing into faster paced hard tunes.

We are happy to introduce our third resident Dj: Ryuk
(23) comes from Portugal and Luxembourg. Known as Ryuk, he started mixing around 1 year ago. While at the beginning he mainly played at small parties, we are finally getting to see him at a proper venue! Ryuk fell in love with techno and djing after moving to Groningen. Like many from us the love for techno quickly turned into an even bigger passion.
With Ryuk, you can expect a wide variety of minimal sounds transitioning into psychedelic undertones as his set progresses. But we can guarantee, he will definitely infest the dance floor with some proper tunes.
We are excited to finally see him play on Saturday and know for sure, he will light up the dance floor.
Jan (24) born and raised in the beautiful City of Berlin has been living in Groningen for almost five years. His passion for techno came through the contacts he made here in his „second home“.
For him Umbra is the chance to bring people from various cultures together and unite them on the dance floor.
Everyone has seen him on the crowd, raving unlike anyone we know, but for him it’s time to leave his comfort zone and start playing some of his finest sounds for you guys.
We are hyped to see him play some groovy tunes to get the party started!
We are happy to introduce our first resident Dj : FRAK
reichel , 22 years old coming from Dresden, Germany more known as FRAK, made its way into Djing when he first came to Groningen 2 years ago. Since then he has been earning his experience playing at house parties, yet, he´s excited to take the leap to the club scene as a resident Dj from Project Umbra.
FRAK's favourite genre to play is something between Dark Techno, which has an ominous sense of eeriness, and Ghetto Tech, which uses gritty vocals along with fast-paced mixing. He believes that being a DJ is always a dynamic learning process and that his mixing style shifts from time to time.
