Marktsteeg 10 is a new cultural hotspot in Leiden that will boast a curated shop, an event space for the arts and a daylight photo studio. Art exhibits, readings, receptions, screenings, concerts, pop-up dinner parties, retail space: it is a meeting ground for creatives to share and present their work & ideas. Marktsteeg 10 is an initiative by visuel artist Casper Faassen and arts manager Michael

Roumen. For all your inquiries about availability for photo shoots, meetings or special events, please contact us through our social media.

Nieuwe tentoonstelling als onderdeel van ; 17-20 september van 11:00-17:00 Marksteeg 10

Sinds 2015 maakt beeldend kunstenaar Wanda Tuerlinckx portretten van robots met een camera uit 1880.

Zoals de uitvinding van de fotografie destijds staat de huidige ontwikkeling van robots voor een significante evolutie in de menselijke ontwikkeling. Deze juxtapositie die de twee belangrijke industriële revoluties verbindt – de industriële revolutie rond 1900 en de robotrevolutie rond 2000 – belichaamt de fusie van mens en technologie en creëert een lus die de tijd overstijgt. In samenwerking met robotica-professor Erwin R. Boer van de Technische Universiteit Delft en de University of California in San Diego, documenteert Wanda de huidige wereldwijde robotrevolutie en met name de robots die het meest menselijk geïncarneerd zijn in zogenaamde androïden.

Op VRIJDAG 13 OKTOBER en ZATERDAG 14 OKTOBER 2023 vindt
in het Cultuurkwartier van Leiden het inclusieve Theaterfestival
Ongekend Talent plaats. Een multidisciplinair festival dat bestaat uit
een symposium én een divers aanbod aan films en voorstellingen.

In Nederland zijn er meer dan 25 theatergroepen voor mensen met
een beperking. Ze maken prachtige, inclusieve, maar bovenal verrassende
voorstellingen die onze blik verruimen. De voorstellingen
spreken de taal van emotie, raakt harten van mensen en nodigt uit
tot anders denken en gedrag.

It has been a while.. we had to reinvent ourselves after Covid but slowly we are back organising small events. Like for this weekend we are open on Saturday and Sunday from 12-18 for Kunstroute Leiden. We have a presentation with works by Guno Bodo Sergey Melnitchenko and Casper Faassen who uses the place as his studio on a day to day base.
