In 2023, we run for you ‘To trust is worse than to lose’, a fast-paced, intense larp scenario heavily inspired by Tarantino’s ‘Reservoir Dogs’ and written by the talented Cyrus Bukowsky of GRART. This story of high-stakes conflict, money and gangsters brought us loads of fun, so we are delighted to let you know, that its Print&Play scenario just went online!
So… what actually is a “Print&Play scenario”, when talking about larps? To put it simply, it is a document that contains all the instructions and materials, you'd need to run a larp written by somebody else. Not every game can be written as one, but many of short-form, chamberlarps can and are! Think of it as something like a theatrical script - if somebody writes a play and makes the script publicly available, any theatre or drama club can produce it. Here, the principle is similar, but instead of written dialogue, you’ll find a list of things to prepare, tips on how to facilitate the game or character sheets for your players.
‘To trust is worse than to lose’ was originally written in Polish ['Zaufać to gorzej niż przegrać'], but for the purpose of running it under the Fern Larps banner, it was translated by our creator and game runner, Estel. The translated materials were then shipped to the author, the document was put together and is now available for you to download, print and play! You can find it here:

Have you ever wanted to get into the chamberlarp scene? Host a short larp yourself, or just run a game for your friends? We cannot recommend this scenario enough✨ But, be advised!! Print&Plays often contain information that should be kept secret from the participants. For this game, it is crucial that only the game master knows the contents of this document, so proceed with caution!
Do you want to get into running chamberlarps, but gangsters are not really your vibe? Don’t worry, there are plenty [and I mean plenty!!] other Print&Plays you can find online. A quick google search will help you find relevant sites with big collections of scenarios. In the comments, we’ll also leave you some resources we use to find new games.
Do you have any Print&Play larp scenarios you like? Maybe something we should have a look at for the next Fern Larp? Or something you’d like to run under our banner? Let us know!
Happy reading, printing & playing!🌿
