The intense and emotional feeling of heavy hearted post punk comes to be with Dear Omen. They will take us on a musical journey beyond creativity and will create a captivating, unique atmosphere through darkness and light. Their sound is a fusion of powerful vocals, intricate guitar and driving rhythms.
iorgu (poetic post punk)
An independent music producer, self taught guitarist, bassist and drummer. Ioana iorgu writes and produces all her instruments and recording by herself. Through her music and latest album, Mean Time, she catches glimpses of the ordinary life, anxiety, grief, bitterness, heartbreak and anger in a satirical manner. The songs heavy primal instrumentation reveals unvarnished emotions and unspoken thoughts.
666 x (anti-patriarchal sludge meets electronic landscape)
A new creature is born on the stage, its effect reverberating far past the venue's doors. Together, their sound is perfect mix of violence and doom through bass and electronics going over into softness and melancholy through poetry, cello and vocals. V***A x acidic male try to explore the body as an alien entity, sometimes a womb-like and warm home, sometimes a hostile and antagonistic power acting on itself. their set takes you from the birth of the creature, to the takeover of the foe and ends up into a cooldown and rebirth.

(riot grrrl punk)
They are a conceptual punk band of three accidental women. Their songs mention themes like the joy and understanding of the banal. They explore how being a woman affects their lives and how to deal with the confusion that comes along with it. With savoury words and a shebang of sound they wiggle their way into your ears.

📣📣Time for some new names! We’re really proud to announce:

Zanjeer زنجیر (Berlin)
Politically charged hardcore punk sung in Urdu, Punjab and Farsi. Zanjeer seeks to narrate the frustration, the anger and the hatred born out of systematic and consistent oppression. The band formed in 2020 in Bremen and have moved to Berlin with some line up changes but is again on full force. This one you don't wanna miss because they put up a ripping live show! Antideutsche f**k off!

Lady Lazarus (AUS)
Aussies doing what Aussies do best and that’s rocking some pub punk! With a sound that’s a volatile cocktail of grunge, old school punk, and riot-grrrl swagger, Lady Lazarus are impossible to ignore.

Our favourite neighbours from Arnhem don’t need much introduction, these four women are just very punk! Or to quote Raven van Dorst: de kloppende c**t van de Arnhemse punkscene.

Vomit Scraper
No punkfest without some raw punk so we invited our friends from Rotterdam to play us some dbeat crust tunes. Short songs, pounding drums and grinding riffs.

✊A determined group of people is now trying to restore what was lost in the fire, and make a new start on another location. Screamo that comes in mulitple languages. Hope you did your duolingo lessons ;)

Dooie mus,
An emo violence duo hailing from haarlem. Their name a perfect descriptor of what they sound like. High pitched screams and complicated playing

Ruona neida,
With members of both kelsey and karnabahar, they just started and already going strong. Bringing a punk vibe to the screamo genre that is much appreciated.

Spinning classic vinyls for your pleasure to dance to afterwards. This girl knows her punk

Dear Stroomhuis lovers,

On Thursday morning October 17, Rosa and Rosalie were woken up by the fire, less than an hour after the last staff had left last night’s show. We are so grateful that nobody got hurt, all of the residents (including the cat) are mostly just shocked. Our hearts are broken to see every piece of creativity and community that we poured into this place over the last 25 years, turned into ashes.
•
Many of our group have been severely impacted in their livelihood and housing. Literally decades worth of creative work are gone. Some of us lost everything we have made over the last 5, 10, and even 35 years. In addition, there are countless instruments and equipment used by musicians and artists from all over the city, which are stored in the Stroomhuis. Stroomhuis has been the heart of our community for so many people in Eindhoven and far beyond.
•
We don’t know what the cause of the fire is, and we won’t be making any statements about it. Thank you for all the expressions of support and kind messages, they mean a lot to us ❤️. Thanks to these messages, we have even more reason to figure out how to move forward, because we must keep going!

For now, we will keep this statement brief, as we are still processing what has happened. This GoFundMe is a starting point, and we will keep you posted.

Many people who love Stroomhuis are offering their help in the form of fundraisers, pizza baking, volunteering and lots of other initiatives. We are making an overview of all non-financial needs we have, so we can match people. If you want to offer your help, please find our email in our bio.
