Guess what, my lovely friends? I just applied for "Heel Holland Bakt"....something akin to "Great British Bake-Off", for The Netherlands. Not sure how I'd do, maybe fall flat...but I think it'll be a lot of fun to give it a go! Sooooooo....we'll see!!!

A new Carrot Cake heading to De Oorsprong.....yummm!! I've heard from a few folks that by the time you get there it is gone....be sure to let the servers know you were looking forward to carrot cake....maybe they need another delivery. ;) Enjoy....and have a great Market Day, friends!!!

It has been a while, I am sorry for the radio silence...lol Since before Christmas I have been so busy with cake orders, my daughter's 15th birthday, more cake orders...and now baking for a local restaurant in 't stadje: De Oorsprong in the Peperstraat.

Starting tomorrow, you can find my carrot cake and sesame seed bagels there. You can purchase them to eat in, enjoying their wonderful lunchroom and children's play area, or for take-away, with one of their standing items. Remember how tasty any sandwich is when on a bagel! :)

If you enjoy these, be sure to let the staff know....I'd love to add other goodies to the menu, if these work out. Something like red velvet, Oreo, brownies, anything really. I hope people get the chance to stop by De Oorsprong this week and enjoy the goodies.

Meanwhile, I'm still busy with baking, be in touch if you want to reserve your cake/goodie order. I'm arranging a new baking location starting in February, very exciting things happening for us!! Hope 2017 is going to be super for everyone!! xxTanja

A very to a special customer Rudy, who has this sweet little angel watching over his day. Non-traditional, this was a vanilla cake filled with a thick layer of strawberry bavarois & fresh berries, and topped with my delicious homemade strawberry jam. The angel is handcrafted from fondant, wouldn't he be adorable on a dessert, too?

Tasted and approved: Gluten-free carrot cake. No one is compromising in flavor with this, I tell ya!! Using my own regular recipe, and covered in gorgeous cream cheese frosting, this is one delicious treat!!
