after 2 years of this shenanigans with a lovely little bar, itβs time to go back to the roots of it all. Drinking, appreciating and writing about wine.
Letβs kick off again with a gem of a wine. We find our wine in de German wine region of Palatinate, or as most call it Pfalz. Here on the vineyard locations on the Mittelhaardt and the bordering South Palatinate, the three brothers Jonas , Lukas, and Philipp Seckinger, work there wine magic.
The winery is founded in 2012 by the three brothers and they are been growning there grapes biodynamical from the start. All wines are fermented spontaneous and have no further technical treatments.
With a primary focus on Riesling, WeiΓ/Grauburgunder, and SpΓ€tburgunder varieties, there are some single vineyards which producese Chardonnay. And they are brilliant.

This single vineyard is somewhat reminiscent of Burgundy or Jura. Solid limestone and an extremely marl-like clay allow even the very youngest of Chardonnay vines to shine through in full force.
