After 4x4 hours of DJ fun over this weekend , I had to take a long good sleep first before posting the experience. Here it is: Thick layers of dust on my gear, burned skin, complete lack of sleep and woke up with flu-like symptoms, but let this not spoil the great memories!
The 4 nights of DJing were great. Did games with the crowd, spinned so many different genres, fun with my fellow DJs and so many smiles to enjoy. During the days I needed some chillings to hold myself together so I missed a lot of you. But I did manage to connect and reconnect with new and old people on professional, spiritual and/or emotional levels, which only this festival can offer.

New mixer up and running. Getting the hang of it. First mixtapes on the new beast are out. For now I think I’ve reached my endgame setup. Maybe some new monitor speakers to upgrade from the budget KRK stuff. But my old ears probably wont hear the difference anyway.
(Sidenote: protect and test your ears regularly, nothing wrong with my hearing and want to keep it that way)

Traktor pro3 power through the Xone:Px5 soundcard and analog mixer. 4 decks controlled through 2x D2 controllers and 2x RP-8000Mk2 vinyl players. Internal FX from the software, the mixer and external through the Kaosspad3. Stems and sample decks at the finger tips and all the extra inputs available to blast the roof off my house. And when I play out, Ill spit out USB sticks like its nothing and miss tons of cool functions with the “club standard” competition.

Blasting this years Infest Festival together with Nachtraaf and DJ Vidma. Really proud because its one of my fav festiva...

REVIEW Unterwasser 26.01.24 🖤🥰

Am 26.01.24 hieß es einmal tief abtauchen. Das Event Unterwasser fand in Leiden statt und es war eine einzige Abrissparty!
Es gab eine Lounge, eine Club-Area und die Konzertarea.
18 Uhr öffneten sich die Pforten und ab 19 Uhr ging es so richtig los.
Ich bin irgendwie immer noch ziemlich geflasht von den vielen Eindrücken, denn ich durfte als Presse & Videograph das Event unsicher machen! Was für eine Erfahrung! Ein riesengroßes DANKE an Gert für diese Möglichkeit!

Ein riesengroßes Danke, vom ganzen Herzen geht an die Band Devil-M 🥰

Eine unvergessliche Nacht, die ich noch sehr, sehr lange in Erinnerung behalten werde. 🖤🥰🔥

REVIEW Underwater 26.01.24 🖤🥰

On 26.01.24 it was time for a deep dive. The Unterwasser event took place in Leiden and it was one big wrecking party!
There was a lounge, a club area and the concert area.
The doors opened at 6pm and the party really got going from 7pm.
I'm still pretty blown away by all the impressions, because I was allowed to make the event unsafe as a press & videographer! What an experience! A huge THANK YOU to Gert for this opportunity!

A huge thank you from the bottom of my heart goes to the band Devil-M 🥰

An unforgettable night that I will remember for a very, very long time. 🖤🥰🔥

Ahoy! Here we go again! Unterwasser will be bigger than ever. Lets build epic memories in 3 rooms at the Nobel in Leiden, with concerts, driving beats and even an alternative lounge. This lineup makes me proud and when I see what Unterwasser has become in the last 8 years the butterflies that I felt the first time are back. This is what a scene is all about. Airports, trainstations, highways and hotels are close by. Good excuse for a nice weekend in Leiden aswell. So join me there!

Selling my trusty Allen & Heath Xone:43 mixer.
I want to switch to a mixer with built-in soundcard (px5?) and need funds for that.

It was used well during the lockdown livestreams and it has seen a gig or two. I have replaced the faders for new ones so it performs just as well as when it was new. Also on the outside its pristine. Clean and no scratches or wear and tear. Only missing the 2 front pads so it sits 2 mm lower in front.

Its a great sounding sturdy analog mixer that works best when you want to connect up to 4 line or phono connections, an external effect and a microphone. And nothing beats Xone filters!
New price is 915€, make me a nice offer.

Ive used the mixer with a Native Instruments Traktor Audio10 MkII soundcard and an Allen & Heath Xone:PB patchbay to hook up all kinds of DVS gear. These are also available and Im willing to talk about selling the whole set.

Thanks to all that stayed for my closing set on Sunday @infestfestival @nightrainbradford . It was an honour taking you on an adventure mixing and mashing up some high energy industrial bangers, Underrated B-sides, Dutch vibes, Dark Techno and even some DnB. I managed to put almost 3 hours of tracks into 85 minutes. Great fun was had. Some complaints that reached my ears: “I need to go to the toilets, but I want to know what comes next!” “I wanted to go home, but f*ck it!” “What are you doing to us!!!!” Special thanks to my Dutch corner buddies @djvidma and @nachtraafdj.
