Artist-in-residence 2022: Kronos Quartet
'We don’t have to be passive and just accept what we have inherited from the past,' says violinist and founder of Kronos Quartet David Harrington.
For more than 45 years, San Francisco’s Kronos Quartet has combined a spirit of fearless exploration with a commitment to continually reimagine the string quartet experience. During this year's festival, Kronos Quartet participated in the opening ceremony, had a family concert at the Aquarium in Bergen and played a concert in the venerable Håkonshallen. In addition, the musicians have participated in a conversation and workshops.
