Wetwear is DJ & producer Ross Bicknell. He’s had gigs in Oslo at Kunstnernes Hus, Tårnet Kulturarena and a regular spot playing records to customers at Jaeger (while also serving them drinks..) and these have honed his selector senses. As well as his main focus (minimal drum n bass), you can expect delvings into abstract techno, new wave and further eclecticisms.
Wetwear refers to the transhumanist cult term for the idea of the brain as a purely digitable form, providing billionaires with a freezing chamber with which to transfer it into a robot body by 2045.. but also jackets and stuff..
As a producer influences include the sample driven experimentalism and bass glutony of mid 90s Drum n Bass, the playful techno-funk of mid 80s Detroit and the sumptuous Aegean synth dreams of Vangelis.
He also has a few decades of experience playing to London crowds in eclectic settings and used to DJ DnB in Brighton in his teens. Notable clubs - The Volks Tavern, The Escape.
