I think this is the place where I'm supposed to write about myself or something, so here goes 😝
I'm an endlessly curious seeker of spiritual and scientific wisdom, part-time DJ, reluctant business leader (joking I love it really, plus it pays dem bills), technology-realist/nerd and vegan/sober wannabe who believes that utopia is possible. I am almost constantly trying to figure out how to be of s
ervice to society. And I believe that love is the answer. Who I am not is Paul White the fantastic beatmaker from Croydon, England. He makes sweet tunes and I have heard he's a lovely guy. I on the other hand only play other people's tunes (for now). What have I been up to the last 20 years since I started disc-jockeying or whatever they called it back then? Well I helped start a couple of music initiatives:
Bassline Boutique - an electro/breaks/bass event which had a successful 5 year run in Oslo. Morning Beat - now officially Norway's longest running community focused sober morning party. I also held down a residency at Oslo's seminal techno club The Villa from 2011-2018 but I haven't been asked to play there recently, probably because I'm an old git or no longer relevant or something... 😝
So, what next? Well the plan is to supply you guys with some nice beats on the regular going forward via my Soundcloud page: https://soundcloud.com/paulwhitedj I won't promise, but I will try! And as I like to have my cake and eat it, the mixes I upload will contain all kinds of sounds. It's hard to lock yourself down in this rich and blessed cornucopia we call life!
