On Thursday, our Workbar was packed as we streamed the kickoff of the Norwegian AI Championship live from Mesh Oslo, Youngstorget.

It was great to gather members and friends to follow the opening together, and to see the response to this year’s championship.

More than 3.100 participants across 1.100 teams, over 100.000 submissions, and competitors ranging from teenagers to participants in their seventies. Norway’s AI talent is definitely showing up.

Huge credit to Astar and partners for creating an arena for learning, competition and collaboration. We’re really impressed by what they’ve built.

Thanks to everyone who stopped by our Workbar to watch the kickoff with us, and congratulations to all the participants and winners! 🥇

Looking forward to seeing how this grows next year 🚀

Last night, we gathered the Claude-curious community in our Workbar together with Astar, and it was packed. The event got fully booked in just a couple of days, which says a lot about the momentum around AI in Trondheim right now.

Alexander Auren took us through a practical intro to Claude Code, subagents, skills & MCP. Very hands-on, very concrete.

There was pizza, great questions from the crowd, and a Q&A with Thariq Shihipar from Anthropic.

What we really appreciate is this: Astar is building community around this in Trondheim. Creating a space where people can test, learn and connect locally. That makes a difference.

Demo Night yesterday 🔥

A packed Main Stage, high energy, and a really engaged crowd. It’s always great to see founders taking the stage and sharing what they’re building, and to see so many investors showing up and leaning in.

Startups like Infraspawn, Menomed, Cephalio, Vette, Demp and Diri all delivered sharp pitches!

What makes Demo Night special is the mix in the room: founders, investors and ecosystem partners meeting, talking, and continuing the conversations long after the program ends. Thanks to 6AM and StartupTRD for making this happen twice a year 🫶

Trondheim’s startup ecosystem is alive and kicking 💥
