Background
Throughout its history, music has always been a significant force in the culture and life of the Nepalese people. It has been a force that has brightened lives, created social change and united the country. In that spirit, NMF believes together in a celebration of hope & transformation with People, Peace and Progress campaign (3P) the first festival of its kind in South Asia. Since 201

NMF runs during the month of November and is a yearly volunteer & activist run music & culture festival highlighting nternational as well as Nepalese musicians, bands and performing arts. The festival also involves local and international guest speakers in the field of music, art, culture, education, peace building and development. The festival is focused to accelerate Youth Activism, Music, Art, Peace, Entrepreneurship & Experience Economy and sustainable development movement. NMF has its sister organisation in Copenhagen Denmark and in other parts of Nepal and supports various independently run music festivals, cultural events and other social engagements. Since 2012, thousands of youth volunteer & activist have actively contributed in the festival and international bands have performed. NMF have partnered with some of the esteemed organisation such as Playing for Change Foundation (USA), Sing For Hope (USA), The Alternativet (Denmark), Kaospilot (Denmark), Music4Peace (Switzerland), Gandhi Tours (India) and Nepal Tourism Board (Nepal) to list few. NMF as a non profit organisation and county biggest volunteer run music festival is a progressive social & cultural platform for youth - more than an event or a stage. NMF welcomes international musicians, artists & volunteers to join the festival be it in act, activist, audience or any form of partnerships, engagements and contribute in the making.
