Far North's Got Talent - EMILY
EMILY PIO from Te Kura Kaupapa Māori o Te Rangi Āniwaniwa with her beautiful waiata "He Whānau Tāua" wrote about tino rangatiratanga, whanaungatanga and treating people with kindness, 'aroha tētahi ki tētahi'.
For a first time solo performer, Emily developed her natural talents very quickly at both wānanga. Performing on stage whilst sharing her unique voice, looked so easy for her Finals performance and placed her 3rd for Best Original Composition. We are so pleased to have shared this first experience with Emily for her to further grow and shine from.

FNGT'24 is already shaping up to be an emotional ride with the natural talent of tamariki on a whole other NXTLVL level. We knew it, but to see and hear it at our Wananga last week, was truly amazing.
To think an idea that was sparked during a convo after watching a show on TV, 21 years ago, would see us here now watching our mokopuna thrive and with support from the NZ Music Commission to make these opportunities happen for our future creatives, makes the mahi not even feel like mahi.
Also to think our rangatahi achieved so much in a few days, is simply mind blowing!
The next phase of this journey is connecting our local professional musicians and creatives, with our rangatahi so Make sure your tamariki register today to audition for FNGT'24 👌🏾🌿
