Another stunning afternoon at Mt Vernon, this time with a bit of a twist!
The joining of two cultures - when I met with Mickey and Toby it was clear that their ceremony was to include both their Kiwi and Vietnamese cultures. We had a small tea ceremony to begin, the purpose being for Toby to ask Mickey’s family for her hand in marriage and celebrate the union of their two families while honouring their parents, family, and ancestors.
We then had myself reading the English version of their ceremony and Mickey's friend Huy reading the Vietnamese translation so both families were able to understand and be a part of their day.
Such a special, special day and an absolute pleasure to be able to bring together for this lovely couple.

This right here is why I do what I do, a gorgeous day at Okains Bay Church with Kate and Bobby. I always give my couples a heads up that often your fingers swell and putting the ring on the finger can be a bit of a struggle, this here is Bobby concentrating so hard to get the ring on that he said the wrong lines! 17 years ago The Mike and I had a the same issue which created a very similar photo! 🤣

Small intimate weddings are getting more and more popular - declaring your commitment for one another surrounded by your nearest and dearest. I am now set up with my own wedding arch so we can choose any location and add a wedding vibe!

Today I changed my hat to a slightly different design and helped our friends with the interment of their Mum and Dad at the stunning Awa Awa Rata Reserve in Methven. Wow what an experience and an absolute honour to be a part of ❤️

First wedding of the season with the amazing Mr and Mrs Watts, a gorgeous intimate wedding with their close family and friends. Mrs Watts being the first bride I have ever had to memorize all of her vows!

ELOPING IN PARADISE
On Friday I had the pleasure to head up to Te Wepu Intrepid Pod Retreats to officiate the marriage of this gorgeous couple, Kirstie and Chris.
A short and sweet ceremony filled with joy, tears and just the right amount of laughter.
Congratulations to you both, thank you so much for choosing me to be your celebrant, this photo captures our time together perfectly - a gorgeous couple completely in love, laughter, beautiful views and my leg warmers.... 🤣
